Took my Cyber Orange FE to Carmax a little over a week ago to see what they would give for it. I bought it mid Feb and it has almost 15k on the odo. They looked it over w/o taking it for a test ride and about 15 mins after they were done I had an offer of $42k, which is $2k more than I paid for...
I thought about that.
If I was pretty certain that I could sell off my FE I would go ahead and purchase the replacement first. It’s risky though because I don’t want to be stuck w/a vehicle that I can’t sell or get what I want for it.
This FE is about an hour away from me and I wonder what the chances are that they will get anything close to $52k. According to cargurus it's overpriced by $4200 but almost $48k is pretty damn good. I'd take that in a hot minute.

Has anyone ever sold their BS back to a dealer? If so how was your experience?
I have a Cyber Orange FE that I'm considering replacing, there isn't anything wrong w/it, it's just not exactly what I am looking for.
Thanks!
Did you you have to punch a hole in that grommet to get your wiring through? I ask because I'm not seeing a way to pass wires through w/o making a hole.
Thanks!
kbb.com is telling me that private party sale is $50,000 and average trade-in for my Cyber Orange FE (w/13k on the odo) is $45,860 (that's almost $6k more than what I paid). If I could get my hands on something else that I wanted I could probably be persuaded.
Thanks for the explanation and all of the info!
It's possible that the extra inch of width from the bigger tires would get it done. I just think that in stock format the BSs all look too narrow. I'm still on the fence w/16s, I like the extra sidewall and how the 16s look. I would have opted for...
At some point I plan on bumping up the Wildpeaks on my FE to 245/65/17 but in addition to bigger tires I’d really like to widen the stance. I’ve thought about some 16” steel wheels w/a negative offset but I don’t know if any are available.
I’d be interested in any feedback or info that anyone...
My FE has the 235/65/17 Wildpeaks and the next (safe) size up is 245/65/17, which would get me a .3" wider and .5" taller tire. While I'm sure it would look even better I can't just the cost until this set wears out. However I might look into some 16" steelies wrapped in A/T3Ws or KO2s.
I wonder if those 255/70/17 Toyos would fit on the BL/FE 17" rims?
It appears that even if they do you'll need to do some trimming in the wheel well and I'm not down w/that.
I think it looks badass with or without the lift. If it were me I probably would have had the wheels powdercoated satin black or dark grey but that's just my personal preference.
I plan on slapping a set of 245/65/17 KO2s or Wildpeak AT3Ws on my FE pretty soon.
