I just ordered a Starlink Mini and I'm trying to determine if I should get a mount for it. I know they sell their own mount for a roof rack, but I'm torn on internal vs external. I kinda like an internal option so I don't have to worry about taking it off when parking, running a wire, etc. I have seen many internal suction cup mounts for sunroofs/windows that look decent. Is anyone using a Mini? And if so, how are you mounting it if you are?

Hey! I have a starlink mini that I use on a clamp mount to the crossbars. I run the wire outside the car by cracking a window. Not the best setup in the world, but it worked good enough for me. For my use cases I was not interested in a permanent exterior mount due to wanting to angle for best performance.

You might be able to run the wire from the existing exterior antenna mount. You could dremel the bottom of the antenna base to make it flush again with the wire and maybe some caulking to seal it. But, you wouldn't have to run it through the window.
