I have a 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend that I bought in June 2022. Since October 2023 I have had a severe brake issue when using them in reverse mode. I've had it serviced at 2 different Ford dealerships, was told that it was fixed and when I got home the brakes were squealing worse than ever. Just recently I found a "Ford authorized mechanic" and took my truck to his shop. He basically did the same routine as the dealerships with the exception that he applied dome " Stop Squeak" grease to my brake pads. My truck is still under the 36,000/ 3 year bumper to bumper warranty but because the last place I took it for repair doesn't do warranty work I was stuck paying $293 for the repair. I called Ford Motor Company and they're refusing to reimburse me. I was told by the business that this fix is just a temporary bandaid for my issue. I was told by a local Ford dealership that this is a problem with the Bronco Sport and the Escape and that Ford doesn't know what to do about it.
Has or is anyone else having this same issue and what have you experienced?

I don't know if your noise is as loud as mine but I'm not accepting this as normal. Anyone with this issue needs to speak up. This is grounds for a class-action lawsuit! I'm far from done with this issue. It is unacceptable.
Chill out, grab a cup of coffee, sit down and start reading the volumes of posts on this forum in regards to the moaning, groaning brake noise. Happy reading!

Knock on wood i haven't had this problem yet.But my question is did the brakes stop squealing with the Stop Squeak grease applied to the brake pads it sounds like it did but i'm not sure?

What repair was done to remedy the noise permanently? T0he 2 For9ddealershops that I took my Bronco to said that they buffed up the pads and replaced a brake clip. I'm hoping this bandaid treatment will work .

We have a '21 Outer Banks, and according to multiple service bulletins that have been issued the fix is replacing some bushings in the brakes system. We just had our OB serviced (oil change and dcm/pcm recall fix) and was told by our dealer the bushings are still on back order.

The supply issues from several years ago are still working out the kinks.

FORD is aware of the issue.

its definitely the front brakes on ours in reverse. only started doing it after the dealer performed the brake pad recall and I'm pretty sure they just did a pad slap. I've noticed this new pad compound creates a ton more brake dust, wheels are black and filthy in like 3 days not where before it would be weeks and never got to that filthy level of dust.

my fix is going to be to swap at least the front with some better rotors and pads. (if we end up keeping this thing)

when we complained to the dealership, during a service appointment, they gave me the run around, were trying to charge me like $300 for some bs, then ended up covering some work to put some shims on the back side of the pads. still makes whale noises applying brakes while reversing.

honestly this is one of the shittiest cars we've had. the worst being our old 2012 Subaru legacy 2.5l.
multiple recalls including programming, brake pads, fuel injectors, quirky electrical functions mostly with headlights not turning off, shit water pump, the damn hood shake if you go over 55mph, I'm sure I'm missing something.
