I am very anti-EV, but with/without the subsidy I’d be tempted with the Slate for an “around town” vehicle. Really like the size, looks, and “bare bones” setup.House GOP Votes To Kill Federal EV Tax Credit
Oh well, so much for the under $20k price for the Slate truck
Still needs to be passed by the Senate then signed into law

IMV 0?$28,000 for maybe $15,000 worth of truck from a group more concerned about design and marketing than just engineering a useful, practical small truck. Hard pass. Don't even get me started about it being BEV-only.
Repeal the Chicken Tax and import the IMZ 0, that's what we really want. For about $13K less than a Slate, and less disposable.
Thanks for the correction. Either fat-fingered or early-onset oldtimers. Take your pick.IMV 0?
Slate Truck works for me as a 2nd vehicle for in-town use, put my $50 down awhile ago. I prefer less complex vehicles especially not fond of excess electronics in modern vehicles (and I’m an EE).
However at its $27,500 announced price (while I’ll wait to see what the actual price becomes), I doubt I’d want to purchase at that price for the value provided
“IMV 0, a budget-friendly pickup truck from Toyota, is not available in the U.S. due to the higher cost of meeting U.S. regulations and potential tariffs. However, it is available in other global markets, including Mexico, where it's sold as the Hilux Champ. The IMV 0 is priced around $10,000 and is built on the Toyota IMV platform.”
