“according to a response from a Slate representative, the Slate Truck is flat towable behind an RV or motorhome. This information was shared in a discussion on the iRV2 forums, where a user inquired about the possibility of using the Slate Truck as a toad (a vehicle towed behind a motorhome). The Slate Agent Team confirmed:”

If you have proof of your claim you should post it 😎

if you are guessing then you should state its a guess

On the other hand, I am not aware of a production electric vehicle equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) that are officially approved for flat towing (towing with all four wheels on the ground) by their manufacturers

(This is primarily due to the inherent characteristics of PMSMs, which can generate electricity when the vehicle’s wheels rotate, potentially leading to damage if the vehicle is towed without proper precautions)

I’ll wait to see what Slate production Trucks come equipped with

The first post states it can be built for under $20,000 & now in the latest post it states it only costs $27,000 why the difference in price? Doesn't really matter to me anyway I would never buy an electric vehicle. I will keep driving my gas guzzling F150.

The vehicle cost $27,500 and with the federal EV incentive of $7,500 the price would be $20,000

And even less in states with a state EV incentive

All numbers are tentative however

Why do they need to give incentives to buy electric vehicles, would they not sell on their own merit?

Whether we like it or not, the government often provides incentives… deductions for having children, the proposed $5,000 “baby bonus" to encourage higher birth rates, larger standard deduction for married people, tax abatements used to promote economic growth, job creation, innovation, etc.
