My Bronco story began when the Bronco was first announced I wanted one. When told it would be over two years, I opted to get a 21 BS and drive it until I could get the Bronco. Liked the size and driveability of the BS and bought another 23 in Eruption Green, my current ride. But, found myself wanting something with a little more off-road capability and I missed having a pickup. So I ordered a 25 Chevy Colorado ZR2 in summit white. Pretty much checked all the boxes on the order. It comes standard with a 3" lift and 33" Goodyears. Has front and rear lockers and a one-pedal mode I like.

The ZR2 was built last week at the Wentzville, MO plant and is still sitting there, so far as I can determine. But it should be here soon. Yesterday, I got a buy bid from a Ford dealer for $27k on the BS. The Carvana bid is only $23K. It was $30K when I ordered the ZR2. Quite a drop.

Looking forward to getting out this winter in the ZR2, but will miss the Lil Green Bronco. It's been a great ride, only mechanical problem was the update involving the CPU. Dealer did it at my home. Can't complain about reliability on the BL's.

Will also miss my cyber friends here. Funny how you get to know people you've never met. I might visit the forum every now and then. You guys keep enjoying the great little Bronco Sports. If you wonder what I'm up to visit my IG @lindelledillon

Just asking for curiosity's sake; why Colorado and not Ranger?

(Love my Eruption Green Metallic BS BL. So much so, it now has a big brother to keep it from being lonely: an EGM Bronco BL!)

I feel like there a lot of goodbyes lately. I guess the Class of 2021 is starting to move on...

For all the reasons the Colorado was Motor Trend's Truck of the year in 23 and 24. To get what I got on a ZR2, I'd have to buy the Ranger Raptor which is several thousand more. I like the simplicity of a turbo 4 cylinder compared to the twin turbo V6. Raptor makes more HP, but ZR2 makes the same torque 430 ft pounds. I don't need more HP on trails. This is a daily driver and I really didn't want 35" tires. And I like the looks of the ZR2 better. I considered the Ranger Raptor and the ZR2 Bison, but decided to go with the ZR2, it seems like a good fit for my needs.

Or maybe the better question is why not a Bronco since that is what you originally wanted? You can easily pick up a new Bronco at a pretty decent discount these days.

Main reason is because they are so damn noisy. I wear hearing aids and they drive me nuts. ZR2 is much quiter and will go anywhere a Bronco will go. And I have a pickup bed.

It’s been a slice. Enjoy the new Chevy. My wife’s ex bought one and I’d say it’s pretty nice. I wouldn’t trade my 2 Dr for it but that’s me, but if you are looking for a pick up and not a SUV, it seems to be a good one.

It's always hard to say good bye to great cars. That ZR2 sounds amazing too though! What color did you get on the ZR2?

I bought a ZR2 in 2019 brand new. It was a great truck. Had a roll over accident with my 96 Ford 1 ton van and needed a tow vehicle. ZR2 topped out at 5k lbs. I traded it in on a 2023 Ranger Tremor. 7500 lb tow rating, 4cyl turbo, better gas mileage, and I think better looking. Only thing missing was front locker. More torque too. I also feel more comfortable in the seats. I love my Tremor. That's why I had no issues getting a used 22 BS BL for my daily driver (I do field service work and put about 20K a year on cars).
Good luck with the Z, but you probably would've bought the Tremor if you test dro e them both.

Summit white is the color. I had some concerns that the ZR2 will fit in my garage. Chevy lists height as 81.8 inches and the facing to my garage door is a hair under 83. I don't think it would fit with 35's. Might be solved by just replacing antenna with a stubby.

My son has a We Boost cell phone booster he has never installed, said I could have it. Not sure I can mount it to fit in the garage.

I'm surprised no one mentioned how much the Carvana bids have dropped recently on the BS. I think a lot of the luster is off both the Bronco and BS. There are a lot of Broncos on dealer lots, which is good for buyers, not sellers. Jeep's parent company is broke. Jeep has had brand-loyal customers over the years, but I worry about their survival.

There was nothing wrong with my BS. It never lacked power on steep trails and the 4-wheel lock and trail control worked flawlessly. I still think it's a relative bargain. I just wanted a little more off-road capability than is built into the BS. And of course, you have to pay for that. Oddly enough my truck is built and Chevy has still not released 25 pricing on Colorados. So I don't even know exactly what I'm paying. I've bought several trucks from this dealer and I feel confident I'll get the best price here.

The Colorado was redesigned in 23. New motor and will tow up to 7700 pounds. I'm comfortable with my choice. Glad you are enjoying your Tremor. It's a good vehicle.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on which side you are on, car buying has mostly normalized. Meaning, unless it’s a really crazy hot seller, you can get it for MSRP or less. Used cars are back to dropping the minute you drive off the lot. The pandemic days of selling a used car for more than you paid for it new are over. The bad thing is a new car is crazy expensive now compared to 5 years ago and used cars are well, used cars. It doesn’t seem to be brand or model related. You couldn’t get a full size Bronco to save your soul a few years ago, now they are building more every month than they can sell. You see them for several K$ under MSRP. Same for Toyota and Lexus.

As part of the class of '21, I am still quite happy with all aspects of the experience. I'm three years, 34k miles, "0" service issues. A couple recalls, but no breakdowns, no stranding. New tires, but no un needed car jewlery The Bl/Bl fits the reality of the NorthEast topography and conditions. Daily driver , still turns heads, and makes me smile.
