Hey Everyone,

I bought my Bronco Sport a week ago and took delivery today. I had wanted a Cactus Grey Outer Banks, but it was sold about two days before I got to the dealership.

I only had three requirements: a moonroof, heated seats, and Apple Carplay (or Sirius XM). The Cactus Grey was my first choice, but the dealership had this one in stock at another location.

It's a 2022 Badlands with all the bells & whistles. It cost $ 2,000 more than the 02 Outer Banks I was planning to buy, but it only has 8000 miles. The OB had 13,000.

I'm coming from a Mercedes GLK-350, which I bought in 2010, and a 2005 Honda Element before that. I like square cars.

The BS wasn't even on my radar. I was planning on another Mercedes but stopped at a dealership and fell in love. Ford took the Element and added more comfort (heated seats, etc.). IMHO, this is what Honda should have reintroduced as Element 2.0.

I've only driven it about 30 miles, including a test drive, but it's a beautiful car. I've had two Ford models in the past (Escort and a Taurus) and had good luck with those. Looking forward to many years with the BS!

I bought my Bronco Sport back in June and I've enjoyed it so much I've already driven it 8500 miles (no issues). I'm actually trying to cut back on the long road trips because I'm on pace for around 25k miles in the first year.

The story of how I bought the vehicle:
I live in Olympia, Washington, in the western-half of the state.
Me and a coworker were working in Spokane (eastern-part of state) for a couple days. Meanwhile, I was tracking the status of a number of Bronco Sports Badlands that were "in-transit" to dealerships around the northwest. I was particularly waiting on a Cactus Gray to show up in Moses Lake (central Washington) and an Eruption Green to arrive in Boise, ID.
On the morning we were leaving Spokane, headed back west, I got an email from the Moses Lake dealership, letting me know the Cactus Gray had arrived. Knowing how quickly the Bronco Sports were getting snatched up (particularly Badlands), I decided we'd be taking a little break in Moses Lake.
Long-story less-long: We drove home in separate vehicles. Coworker in our work vehicle, me in a brand-new Bronco Sport.

Since then:
-I've done some minor off-roading, mostly on forest-service roads on my way to trailheads. Though, I did spend a couple days in Central Washington (Bethel Ridge and Wenas area) just driving remote, difficult roads for fun.
-I went on one big road trip with my wife to Glacier National Park. I drove about 2000ish miles on that trip. It was comfortable, we had no problems packing lots of stuff in the vehicle, and for the entire trip averaged around 26mpg.
-Lots of other little road-trips around the state

Looking forward to:
-Trying out some snow in the mountains soon
-Driving Washington to Alaska in the not-too-distant future (2500ish mile trip)
-Taking some nice shots of my BS that I'll post here

Anyway... that's more than enough for now!

Hey everyone - Been quite a while since I've been on a forum of any kind. You seem like a pretty good group here. I've picked up a bit of valuable info since I bought my '22 Badlands a month ago

After 25 years of Jeeps and then mistakenly owning a Hyundai for 3 years, I hadn't actually set out to buy a BS, and there weren't really very many available once I started looking at them, but I came across this one which had been purchased a year ago and then very quickly returned for something else. Since then it had been resting comfortably back at the dealership nearby with only a few miles on it.

I would say there was a couple of things I might have liked about a brand new '23 that rolled in elsewhere a day or two beforehand, like memory seats and the tire upgrade, but not enough to give up the savings. Not to mention that the first owner on mine had loaded up a great extended warranty and maintenance package that I was able to transfer for about a tenth of the cost

So thanks for the info so far.

I've been lurking so I thought why not create an account and join discussions.
Honestly, I've had my bronco sport for 2 weeks and I honestly love it. It's in the eruption green metallic and I've never seen such a color that instantly catches the eye.

The only drawback is there weren't any all-weather floormats included but it doesn't bother me, yet lol.
