Hello, I am Marcelo from Buenos Aires Argentina.
I bought my Bronco Sport Big Bend a couple of months ago.
In Argentina we always live in an economic crisis, it was not easy to get the Bronco.
Here I show a photo in the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park in the Province of San Luis.
I look forward to contributing experiences and learning from you. In the American market there are many more versions than those that arrive here (only BB and Wildtrack).
Thank you for authorizing me as a member. Hugs from the south of the continent.

Ford has certainly experienced a number of production issues of late—more so than other manufacturers. That said, I would only eliminate a vehicle from a possible purchase list for safety or long-term reliability concerns. I don't view any of the issues with the Bronco Sport to rise to that level. For example, the two issues with brakes involved 1) a recall to replace existing pads with higher friction alternatives to meet an obscure test parameter (specifically, braking distance with a failed brake booster), and b) a technical service bulletin to replace parts responsible for annoying noises when backing up. All new Bronco Sports coming off the line will comply with the recall, and Ford is currently rolling out parts kits to dealerships to deal with the noise issue.

All that is to say don't eliminate the Bronco Sport for the problems you read about here. Or at least take the time to frequent the forums for other vehicles you're considering, because I can almost guarantee they each have their own unique set of problems.
Mark your words are always soothing to this old soul.

I've been around here for a few weeks. I guess it's about time to introduce myself.

This is my first new car since 1999. Funny enough, my last new car I bought was a Ford, also; an Escort ZX2 Hot. This is my first SUV (CUV?) but I've driven them before. Before this, I drove an Accord for about 10 years and was looking for a newer Accord or Passport. I didn't like them. They were good cars but just didn't feel like me. The salesman asked, what about the BS? I said let me drive it. There were 3 on the lot that had just come in and he grabbed the keys to the Oxford White Big Bend. I liked it!

The Passport felt too big and clunky, truck like almost. This feels more compact (I'm single and don't want to have the car everyone wants to pile into).

I've never driven off highway but I think I'm going to get into that hobby. I live in South Texas and there aren't many public trails, maybe not many private ones. There are just beaches. I'm going to the Texas Bronco Off-Roadeo next month to get some experience on that.

As far as accessories/mods... I've added the Ford rubber floor mats and ordered the pen holder, rear seat rubber backs, tow eye, and the passenger under dash panel. The pen holder and rear seat backs are on back order, though. 😒

I think I'm done with mods for now unless I can find some kind of GoPro mount. I also bought one of those to use at the Off-Roadeo and if I do any kind of interesting driving. This was kind of a big purchase for me, way out of my normal comfort zone, so I want to throw any extra money I have at this to pay it off as soon as I can. I'm pretty sure I want to ultimately buy a dash cam, First Aid Safety Kit, On-Road Assistance Kit, Owners Manual cover kit, maybe the Perimeter Plus System, and change the Bronco Sport letter colors on the tail gate. I just don't know what color I'd like yet.

So far, I'm loving it, I think. For sure I like it. I came from driving an EX-L Accord for the last 10 years so I was used to the extras. This doesn't come with much but it has some. If I could do it again, I would add some to this same model but, honestly, I've looked around and haven't seen any at a dealer that has what I want. This tells me I would've had to wait a while for it to be built.

Hello all!

We purchased a 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend last June in Alto Blue Metallic. My previous ride was a '04 Ford F150 SuperCab with a cap in the ever popular Toreador Red. After 180k miles (original one owner - me!) and driving 1,500 miles with 2 dogs, the bed full to the top of the cap and all my house plants to our new home, we decided we needed to downsize (plus the fact that my baby wouldn't fit in the garage!) and were considering the Bronco Sport. I love that she has so much pickup for a 3 cylinder. Gas mileage is amazing. I bought the soft sided dog kennel and can take one of the dogs in it but have an older soft crate Noz2Noz that fits in the cargo area and holds both pups. I haven't put anything up on the roof yet and am considering getting a cargo container for when we take both dogs on trips as with the big crate, there's really no room for luggage other than small bags.

I sold my F150, traded in my husband's Cadillac Escalade SUV and drove home with our Sport. We still have our '08 Focus (bought off lease in '10) and she was put on a transport along with the Caddy to make the trip. I'll keep her until she finally gives up. She runs great. I get about 28 mpg highway and 24 city.

Love reading everyone's posts!

Hello from southeast Virginia. Bought a used first edition a few weeks ago and I've been lurking here for a few weeks. We were looking to move on from our Odyssey van which served us well. We wanted something small and fun that could easily park in the garage. I knew a little about Bronco Sports from what I had read when they first came out. I knew a real man could only be satisfied with a full size Bronco. When I was thinking about smaller fun to drive vehicles I kept coming back to the Bronco Sport. I saw some of the crazy off road videos. Holy Crap! This thing is a real off roader. Don't know if I'll tackle anything more than some fire roads. We don't live too far from the Outer Banks but I don''t know much about beach cruising. I like the view from the cabin along with the handling, pickup and size. The seats are very comfortable. This is primarily my wife's ride but we both like it.
I should have studied up a little more before I bought the FE. The sales guy told me the FE had adaptive cruise, lane assist, wireless carplay and homelink. It didn't have any of those features. I didn't really care about the adaptive cruise and lane assist. I installed a Kia rear view mirror with homelink thanks to the forum. I also got a wireless carplay dongle. I pimped out the inside with genuine plastic carbon fiber. I also got a rear bumper protector. Have an Aeroskin hood protector and some hood struts on the way. I'm using a bike picture of my Trophy SE for my avatar until I can get a proper picture of the BS SE in it's natural habitat.

Good day from Iowa! My wife and I just purchased a 2022 Badlands in Cactus Gray (Grey?) a week ago and love it. I love everything off road and she was wanting an SUV so we got the Bronco Sport and can't be happier. Already planning a Moab trip actually. I am a Jeep guy but also a Ford guy and this Badlands will be alot of fun hopefully for years to come.

Welcome. Where in Iowa? A few forum members are looking to get together in the Mark Twain area in Missouri. Maybe you and your wife can make it.
I am west of Perry about 4 miles in the country. I travel for work alot but that Mark Twain trip sounds like a great time!

Howdy. Just picked up our Heritage Limited yesterday afternoon. So far so good. It is replacing her nearly 200K mile Crosstrek, our first new car in 10 years, but we're keeping that car until the wheels fall off. I'll be driving it mostly over the next few months as I recover from knee surgery that prevents me from driving my car, a BMW 330CI with a 6MT.

The yellow looks a lot better in person than in pics, and is growing on me. So far only "mods' if you want to call it that will be some Yakima crossbars, dog friendly seat covers, a wireless CarPlay dongle, and cell phone and V1 mounts TBD.

It is fun to drive and we'll be testing it out on the sand in a couple months.

Although I'm royally irritated that Ford doesn't offer wireless CarPlay with these in 2023. That's just absurd.
