I've long advocated that Ford should offer the 2.0 as an option to all trim models. Auto manufacturers have always designed their product around what they think is most profitable for them rather than what the customer wants. Ford is gullty of this, yet have pi$$ed off $10 billon on EV's in the past two model years. A strange business model, huh?
the uptake on the 2.0 doesn’t justify the complexity in production…!

would make more sense for Ford to have the 1.5 standard across the range and allow Badlands customers to pay $2k for the 2.0 if they really wanted it…

The Badlands is the flagship trim of BS. Putting a 1.5L in it would dilute the brand. Don't see Ford doing that. They just need to give people a choice about what engine they want. More than one way to do this.

I'm keeping an open mind about the upcoming refresh. Most of the expected changes are good and will improve the vehicle. I'm in the 2025 trade cycle and I'm not brand loyal. I'm looking at several different vehicles, but pretty sure I want something with a low range this time.

The 2.0 will be severally detuned for 2025 to reduce emissions and will have a particle filter that will cost thousands to replace…the total hp on 87 will likely be very close to the 1.5T but torque will be higher in the 2.0T.

New 2.0 with the particle filter:
238 hp and 277 lb-ft but remember, this is with 91.

Wow, those are some cool upgrades... 32" tires, 2" lift... 2.3l engine?
Locking differentials? This is like a different vehicle. It's a Suzuki Jimny with more room (and power).

It looks like Mullinax Ford has all the details on the upcoming Sasquatch package. Seems very promising if true!
How?! —>

1. Turbocharged Engine Options
Under the hood, the Sasquatch-equipped Bronco Sport can be outfitted with a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, delivering more than 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides ample power to conquer steep inclines, deep sand, and rocky trails, while still offering impressive fuel efficiency for everyday driving.

Ford stated the 2.3T did not fit under the hood…but if this is true I might be interested. I love the 1.5, too scared of the 2.0 but the 2.3 is the most reliable Ecoboost of them all !

2.3L can’t possibly be mated to the 8F35 transmission… the 2.0L specs exceed the 8F35 specs
Maybe the 10-speed transmission will be used

I don’t know about this ; if this is true the cost would be some where in the 63 to 70 price point. None of this seems Right .

Wow. If true that's a lot more in the package than I expected.

But I know it ain't going to be cheap and it has me wondering why people would go that route over a full sized Bronco.

I mean….if we take a trip back to the past, in 2013 Ford was running a 2.3L Ecoboost on the Escape platform - the Escape itself never got it, but the Lincoln MKC offered that engine as optional. It also landed in the RS - so I am guessing if Ford recycled that a bit and swapped out some parts it could actually fit!

If Ford offers the factory lift...yep I'll be taking them up on that. Possibly the better suspension too which may be required for the lfit anyway.

Excited for tomorrow and see the official release of what it is.
