Well, here’s ANOTHER reason I’m glad I got a fairly early ’21 BS! I’ve all the goodies that have since been removed, been pretty problem free (apparently out before QC went south). So far there’s been nothing that makes me want to trade in and get a newer model.

Sure, rub it in.

Our '22 has been good too. Just the one recall -- and after monitoring battery voltage before & after, it does not seem to have been necessary.

We did have to jump through hoops to get Ford (and/or the dealership), to provide some parts that were likely standard on your '21 -- the panel under the passenger side dash and the folding headrests for the rear seats. Also a shackle hitch receiver to provide a rear recovery point (factory hitch eliminates 'towing point' ).

Otherwise, it's all good. It even came with the elusive hood insulation.

I have to admit, I'd never heard of gas particulate filter. Diesel yes, but not gasoline. It seems we are getting very close to the maximum possible (or at least practical) emissions reductions. We seem to have passed the 'point of diminishing returns' a while back.

You voted for it:

“There are a couple of downsides to these gas particulate filters, however, including the fact that they must be paired with fuel that has a lower sulfur content, and in select cases, higher octane fuel is recommended as well. Additionally, the filters can be pricey to replace – as much as $4,000 in some instances.”
