I also saw this and took it to the dealership last month. they claimed they didn't know anything. but when i brought up a print out and they looked online. they said "yeah...but it is a Ford incentive, and you need to claim it when purchasing the car..." since this is a "order incentive", it should be available in time of order. and...since all of wait months and months before actually purchasing the car when it is delivered, that incentive may not be around anymore. so I kept the print out and hope they would honor it when I, whenever that would be, pick up my car.

I just looked on current website. that incentive is gone so it expired on 3/25. so anyone order before then should qualify. at least that's how I read it. I have doubt...of getting this unless I take the dealer or Ford to court.

also, local (So Cal) had a finance special of 2.9% loan...that is also gone. only Explorer has incentive and finance deal right now. I've seen loan for 1.9% from other place (Credit Union or Bank)

I almost willing to get a loan now (or last month) when the interest was really low and start to pay...even before I have the car. Interest rate is going up.

Incentive is based on when you ordered or took delivery. In either case, you should be covered.

I ordered my bs last month. Wonder if I can take advantage of incentives now or only limited to when the vehicle is on the lot.

I think the incentive is only for custom orders and comes from Ford directly. I don’t understand why they are offering incentives for custom orders when they don’t seem to be able to fill the custom orders they already have.

That's a dealer link I had handy. Direct from Ford would be better, but this appears accurate:

I ordered mine the way I wanted direct from my dealership. Would that be considered a "custom" order?

How do I lock in for a vehicle I don't even have a VIN # for yet? Or do I need to just hope that my order has incentives when its on its way to the dealership?

The rep at my dealer printed out the incentive and put it in my file, or at least that is what he told me he did.

Ford gives the buyer the option to use credit/incentives that were in effect at the time their order was placed OR at the time of delivery. So you should be fine.

Like some other BS forum members, it did not occur to me to document which discounts applied back on Dec. 17 when we ordered. I figured that it would be easy to go to Ford's site and look that up. Nope. Perhaps that's done for a reason?

There should be a way to find that info online, but am not aware of a source. Needless to say, the dealer was no help. I got the strong impression that had there been any other applicable discounts, they would not have told us about them.

I think what was available on 3/25 when we picked up the BL was also available back in Dec., but obviously that is not always the case. It would be a good idea for you to try and find out now what was in effect on your order date of 2/16. Keep some proof -- print everything out, and/or screen shots.

In hindsight, I'm beginning to wish I had just gone to Granger. They are ~1,000 miles away, but coincidentally my wife and I have family in Iowa, including some about 35 min. from Granger, so we could have visited them and picked up the Badlands.

The primary reason I hesitated was that I've had numerous bad experiences when attempting to get warranty service done by a dealer that did not sell the car. They tend to have a serious attitude problem and either flat-out refuse to do the work or be very difficult about it. So I was/am trying to avoid that 'unpleasantness', but at some point the scale tips the other way. Being treated ethically and saving ~$3,500 probably beats any *potentially* easier warranty work.
I've had this same discussion with myself, should I have gone for a nice 680 / or 740 mile adventure to pick up at Granger (Chi-town or scenic U.P. adventure route? as it seems snow won't be an issue.... or will it?). And same concern on "If" warranty work is required down the road. I have been snubbed by dealers, and that was just due to relocation vs not buying "local". Am planning to take advantage of Granger's extended warranty offer though.

We picked up ours on Saturday and the dealer claimed there was no rebates but I could have sworn there was. Finance guy had another guy bring in some paperwork showing nothing offered.
Fast forward to today when the dealer called me saying there is a $1,000 rebate… and we will be getting it.
Made my Monday a lot better!
