I have the timer set to turn off all exterior and interior lights right away. I always use the keypad on the b-pillar to lock my BS, I watch for all lights to turn off within a few seconds

I notice if I use the keyfob to lock it up, the headlights stayed on for a few minutes before turning off automatically.

I haven't dived too deeply into this, guess all I care is the lights go out. Maybe I'll dig a bit deeper...
Yeah me too but I lock my doors by putting my hand on top of drivers door handle. The keyless feature works great ??

I did not know you could lock it with the door handle. Thanks for the tip. Save from scratching the keypad pillar. ?

Howdy. Ok I tried this but the doors did not lock. Keyfob is with me, I put my left hand on top of the drivers door handle. It would only unlock them or attempt to unlock if they were already unlocked.

Anything I need to set in Settings to activate the handle lock feature? Thanks.

Edit: Found this posted by @mgiulia2

You can also lock all of the doors by having the key in your pocket and placing one finger on the 3 lines on the top of the door handle of the driver or passenger door

This happened to my wife tonight. She pulled in, shut the engine off, and walked in the house. The lights went off like normal after the delay. It’s parked right outside one of our windows, we could see the lights were definitely off. Our niece came home (lives with us) a couple minutes later and she also confirmed the lights were off because it was hard for her to see walking up our sidewalk.

About 5 minutes later we noticed a light outside the window. Went over to look and the DRL’s were on. So in our case the lights went out as they should upon shutdown, and the DRL’s turned back on about 10 minutes later. Kinda freaky. We watched for about 5 minutes and they never turned back off. I had to restart it to get them to go out.

I’ve had my Bronco sport for a few months now and love it. The other day I went into a store and came out (30 min later) and part of my headlight was on. I opened the door and closed it and it went off. I blew it off. A week later I looked out the window and saw the same thing. I have no idea how or why this is happening. Anyone else have this happen or know what’s going on?

have you updated your sync3? from my own experienced I went to vehicle lighting settings and I tried to turn on and off, I think that reset the factory settings. since I did that never had problem with my drl, and every time I lock my car I press lock twice ill make sure I hear the beep sound on my bronco, or try to play with the control lights located on your left lower steering wheel.

Something similar just happened to me. My lights were definitely off when I got home an hour or so ago. I hit the lock button one more time before getting in bed and I noticed that all of the lights came on (headlights, rear lights, instrument panel, interior lights, all of it). I tried to lock it, nothing. Checked the app to make sure I didn’t somehow remote start it. Went outside and had to turn my car on and off and then lock it to get them to turn off…

Speaking as a software guy, I would try changing the timeout for the lights to a new value. You can always change it back, I just worry that it was never set and may be picking up random values.
Do you know how to change that value? I have Forscan and am looking on how to change that value and the time out value for the fan run time on the headlights.

I just use Settings on the Sync screen to change the light timer. As for changing the fan runtime on the headlights, I trust Ford engineers to know how long the fan needs to run to properly cool them. I wouldn’t know where to begin coming up with a better value.

Well it happened again for me as well.

I came to work this morning, it was still dark when I parked. I came in and relieved my co-worker etc... he left about 15 minutes later. After a few moments later he called me to let me know the lights were all on, head lights, tail lights, instrument panel etc... it took me about 5 minutes to get down to the Bronco, and sure enough they were all on. I know they were off when I came in and this was now about 25 minutes later.

Using the key-fob I locked the vehicle again but the lights remained on. I had to open the vehicle and physically turn the automatic lights to the off position to get them to actually go out.
Or hit unlock and lock again. I have made it habbit wen walking away from bronco to hit unlock first then hit lock like normal. Only way i know for sure
