This front grill interference and paint chipping is evident on two new deliveries at my local dealership. Both have been poorly touched up.

Horrible quality control on Fords part, I hope it’s resolved, this area will rust for sure.

I had the same paint chips on the driver rear tail light. Ford fixed it under warranty and the dealer said they did not mount the tail light correctly from the factory, the passenger side was fine. They had a few more BS on the lot in different trims and they all had the drivers side tail light chips... This was back in April. Just noticed I also have them by the head light corners, one down to the metal. Will take it to them tomorrow to see what they say.
Dang. Just noticed this on mine. Just driver side taillight, not passenger.

How long have you had yours?
Just over a month. I'm also still waiting for a replacement front bumper, but that's a whole other story ...

Thanks for this thread! my BS FE Area51 has the same problems in the same spots.
Did your dealer fix?
Was it considered warranty, or defective?

They usually monitor the forums so hopefully they are seeing this
Yes, I'm hoping a (monitoring) Customer Service Rep will chime in on this as there are certainly enough instances of it on new vehicles...

Wow, I've had a few chips in similar spots. I have the bubbling paint around the tail light (dealer said "it's just how it is, it's on all of them" and ignored it), and larger chips around the lights that I've repaired with a paint pen. I've also had "stone chips" on strange places, like my rear hatch, rear quarter panel...

The Ford Warranty covers paint defects from the factory and damage enroute so anything you see is covered until you drive away and they can blame you.

I suggest going forward a couple things for people:

1. Take delivery of the vehicle in bright sunlight
2. Do a full inspection of those areas people have noted. Video tape your inspection with the dealer (Of course let him/her know you are doing that)
3. Also Take a picture of each with your phone and have the dealer write down each section you have noted and both of you sign that report stating that the vehicle had paint defects on delivery
4. Have the dealer write something stating it is covered by the warranty
5. Also when the work is corrected get a warranty of the paint repair in case they do a piss poor job. Then if anything goes wrong later you have the ultimate paper trail.

Hey there! Hearing you have paint issues with your new Bronco is something we definitely want to look into. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN so we can get started?

So I was getting ready to wash my car and was just doing a few spot cleans the other day. Noticed some paint chips in areas that do are not even high traffic areas. You can see the two paint chips on the front surrounding the lights are in identical spots on both sides, and then surrounding the back left tail light. These are on top of the chips on the hood that happened in the first month, which I just assumed was due to highway driving. Now I’m not so sure and believe that my bs badlands was just a crappy paint job. Not sure if I’m going to take it in and deal with the hassle or just use a paint pen but pretty upsetting to say the least.
