Okay, I just got the part.... dang that's a lot of connectors. I'm going to try to swap it out over the weekend. Does anyone have any tips before I start?
Hopefully this helps. Straight out of Ford's workshop manual.

did you end up with a leak in the tube? I thought you were just going to replace the purge valve?

I have a 2024 Bronco Sport BB with 44,000 miles. It is currently at the dealership for purge valve that is stuck open. I had a local Ford dealership do the software update for the PCM for the fuel injectors not a week later I started getting the check engine lights. In January, 2026 I got 3 check engine lights for the P0496 error code.

Right now the part is on back order with Ford and they have no estimated time when it will be in. The dealership is charging me over $500.00 to fix it parts & labor. They did give me a nice loaner to drive while mine is in the shop. The dealership is stating it is not under any warranty including the Federal Emission Warranty & I did not get the extended warranty. I live in South Central Texas & my vehicle has been in the shop for 2 weeks. I don't have a problem going to a higher up with Ford .

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!!

This is a simple 15 minute replacement that you can do yourself.

Order the assembly online and save money.
