I have wondered if this is done to shorten the warranty.
So maybe miles go up faster so Ford can get out of warranty claims earlier?

it's made me wonder...

For the OP, do you have the 235's or the 225 tires? If 225, maybe the speedo is calibrated for the 235's

No I have the 235s but I tested again on the highway and it did seem like it was close in distance. Maybe I was too groggy going into work in the morning. I just can't believe in the back and forth short distances I have covered and put the mileage on so quick. So for now does look accurate.

BSB75...I too have thought my Outer Banks was running up the miles quickly. You post got me wondering. Went out on the interstate highway that had mile markers. Tested it on 10 markers and in was right on. I guess we did drive over 6800 miles so far.

Glad to hear it wasn't just me but happier to know it's accurate. Guess I'm having so much fun driving it that the miles are piling up quick.

Ran a couple of short trips watching how the odometer compared to Google Maps and found it to be dead on. Will try a longer trip next week.

Use the odometer to check your gas mileage. If you are getting 40 mpg around town it’s probably reading too many miles?

The odometer did seem a bit faster than the mile markers on the interstate (specifically the 1/10 mile markers), but it was bang on the same distance for a ~75 mile trip last night as Waze. I guess I have put almost 10k miles on mine already.
