This is how I smooth out restarts when the auto stop/start system shuts down the engine. I watch the lights, and when I know mine is about to turn green I give a slight tug on the steering wheel, which immediately restarts the engine.

You know ther's a button/switch that turns off Auto Start/Stop.Really like how the Badlands keeps the Engine on when steering wheel (is) maneuvering ?
Better yet, Autostop Eliminator will save you from having to push that button...
