I recently retired from NB Kitsap MWR, so I completely understand. However, it’s still the bad guys that don’tfollow the rules. Those of us that abide by the rules/laws are not the problem.I work on a military base, so I don't even keep my CPL anymore. If I leave home I'm almost always going to a gun free zone.
I've been a Firearms Instructor for the past fifteen years. I've had dozens of students with cross dominant eye issues. Quickest and easiest solution.... close an eye.Yes. I recently started training myself to use my dominant hand (right) after shooting leftie for over 30 years. Basically, it's been eye discipline. I'm actually a better shot now. Probably not because of the switch, but because of the eye discipline.
One of my daughters also has the cross eye dominant issue.
Check your history. Remember what happened at Fort Hood several years ago.I work on a military base, so I don't even keep my CPL anymore. If I leave home I'm almost always going to a gun free zone.
I'm a lefty who's right eye dominate, I outshot my brother in law and father in law at our last camping trip, and they're legit pretty good. I was pretty proud of myself, not gunna lie.I've been a Firearms Instructor for the past fifteen years. I've had dozens of students with cross dominant eye issues. The government very nearly did the right thing and allowed private firearms on base again, but the Navy is still very much against it.Check your history. Remember what happened at Fort Hood several years ago.

I’m not sure why that might be beyond politics. Who honestly as a population would be more skilled & responsible with handling firearms than military people. The government very nearly did the right thing and allowed private firearms on base again, but the Navy is still very much against it.
Years ago I lived in a small town of 50,000 people. One of the lowest crime areas around. Then one night a guy came around impersonating a Sheriff's officer. Made an attempt to get in but decided I might be armed and left, never to return. Found out many years later he was the Golden State Rapist/Murderer when I saw his picture on TV.And I respect that view. To each their own.
For me, it’s a risk proposition. In Risk Analysis, it isn’t only the likely hood of an event happening that is taken into account. The impact also plays a part and can often outway the likelihood.
that’s how it works in business, how much more should that apply with life and safety?
Exactly. I had an encounter once like that in Painted Desert area of Las Vegas (arguably a lower crime area at the time... Even being part of LV). Had a young man come up saying he had something to sell me... at 9:30PM. To our front door....Years ago I lived in a small town of 50,000 people. One of the lowest crime areas around. Anyway, I just happened to have a gun on me when that incident happened at my house, something I almost never did at that point.
So after that, I did two things, I bought a security door for my house and started carrying inside my own house as well as wherever I went.
I've found I'm unable to predict when and where I might need one, so I carry everywhere.
Put another magnet on the inside of the plastic and use the double sided tape on the outside magnet.I've got nylon holster with a steel clip that attaches to a magnet. Holds my Hellcat. Problem: I'm trying not drill holes so I've tried to attach the magnet to plastic on right side of driver seat with 2 sided tape. Have used 3M and Gorilla Tape and magnet keeps falling off. Unless someone has a better suggestion, I guess I'll have drill a couple of holes.
