Took about an hour. Diagnosed by the local dealer as a bad driver window control switch. Part's on order. Have to make trip two tomorrow.

No, no, growing up it was Fix Or Repair Daily.

But in this instance, I think it's best to go back to another old stand-by acronym: Frustrated Owner Really Disappointed.

Which is a fair bit better than another one which applies to many people buying into the offroad marketing hype: Frankly Over-Rated Driver.

Just want to get my money down before the big reveal. I think it's going to be a stuck limit switch, not the motor itself. I'm betting it was possible to effect a "Fonzie" type of repair.
The absolute worst case scenario (for OP) would be that they were trying to roll up the rear window with the door control and somehow had depressed the driver door window lockout. I would really like to see the shop tech's report in that case.
The one I get for my reliable F-150 was F..... Out-of-a Real Deal

All that whining and it’s just a door switch. Better trade it right way before we have to listen to you whine about your next issue.

Ok, I tried to ignore it, but that was simply asking too much of the ex-writer in me. The word you were looking for is "rapport."
Mark,

Will it still be a POS?
Check the updated thread heading. I can deal with minor warranty covered inconveniences if that's how it turns out.

So, a switch is a minor warranty covered inconvenience but the window motor would not be?

Yup. Really expected the back wiper switch would be the first one to break, TBH.
