I have two:

1) Drivers using their cell phone; not paying attention to lights that turn green, or paying attention to the road while driving.

2) Pedestrians who jaywalk rather than using the crosswalk or ignore the "don't walk" light.
Cyclists riding on the wrong side of the road - against the traffic.
Bicycles are participants of traffic and should obey the same rules as cars ... observed everywhere in Europe.

Spreading tar all over the road into alleged cracks in the road and watching new cars drive over it.

If there's one in this world that bothers me more than anything is a tailgater. And their motives are always the same, an intimidation tactic to get you to drive faster. And it never works. If anything, it either pisses people off and triggers road rage or they just ignore it and let the a-hole just whip around them. But it bothers me to no end when I'm driving along and then all of a sudden a Nissan Altima or Volkswagen Jetta is up my ass. What's so important that you just to have to be somewhere and tailgate somebody in the process? Nothing, that's the answer! There's no reason for it whatsoever.

Also, abrupt last-minute decisions. For example, a Silverado that's stopped at a red light in the straight lane randomly deciding to jump into the left turn lane after traffic passes because they get sick and tired of waiting at the light or they just can't make up their mind. Also, a Toyota 4Runner making an illegal u-turn from a straight lane after coming to a stop at a redlight with oncoming traffic heading their way. Or a Honda CR-V braking all of a sudden to make a right turn with no signal. You know, stupid s*** like that.

Here's a public service announcement: If you ever have to get behind the wheel for any reason, ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN! DON'T MAKE ABRUPT LAST MINUTE DECISIONS THAT ENDANGER YOU AND YOUR FELLOW MOTORISTS! I can't emphasize that enough! I realize this is asking for too much but if everyone had a plan instead of just jumping into their cars and improvising the whole way, our roads would be so much safer.

A four way stop where drivers are too busy to see if anyone stopped before they did and just pull out in front of everyone.

Simular to "right on red after full stop". That almost never happens; they roll right through.

A humorous observation, that does not really 'bother' me.

If I am at a 4 way stop, or a stop in a parking lot or some such. If the driver across from me is male they always wave for me to go when it is my turn. I know it's my turn; I have been watching and yet, the wave. But they don't wave if the driver of the car I'm in is another guy. Women don't seem to direct other women either.

Once again, I find this interesting and amusing, not remotely offensive. But then, I was a blonde haired, blue-eyed cocktail waitress in the '80s. You can try to offend me, but good luck with that.

How we don't yet have a nationwide ban on the use of phones while driving is beyond me. With real consequences. I see it all the time when on the road, driver's doing 80+ looking down at their device in another world.

Drivers that cross a road in front of me while im traveling at speed with very little room to spare, yet behind me not another car can be seen and the road is wide open.

In Florida, they have passed a law that states "hands free", so in theory, you'd have to have talk to text, or SYNC, or put the phone down. The fine is double if you use a cell phone in a school zone.

The problem is that the police don't have the time to simply go out an look for these types of offenders.

In Germany (I spent a lot of time there in the 90's), they had these laws in effect then. The first offense was a suspension of your license, and you had to take a driving class and road examine at a cost of $200.00 Euros to get your license back. We need to be more strict here in the U.S.

The second for sure....beyond comprehension.

Driving regulation is the purview of individual States, and most States already have rules against texting and driving. Many have hand-free rules as well. EVERY State has statues covering distracted driving, which IMHO negate the need for specific rules against cell phone use.

I've got many, but the one that I didn't see mentioned here is when people are trying to yield you the right of way with no regard to anything else that's happening around them. You might be stopped yielding for me to go, but I need to cross another blind lane which hasn't yielded to me, and now you are holding up everything. We all know there are appropriate times to be polite and yield to someone, but 75% of the time, the best thing to do is what you should have been doing anyway.

Oh, and also, obliviously blocking intersections.

Yup. The most polite thing you can do as a driver is to be predictable, which means you have to know and follow the rules.

Jay walking is mine... I wrote a paper in college of why there should be stricter jaywalking laws lol.
Would you be willing share?
I was always under an impression that it's a classist rule that is endemic to US. It's not an issue in most other countries.

Four way stop is an idiotic piece of road design. In my experience it's more often that the driver stops and just waits until someone motions them to go.
