Have contact info for the local Bronco club?
Oh and we had a blast on Sunday. I was the only BSBL. I kept up just fine on this day in the sand dunes. I believe next month we are going to Badlands off road park in INdiana. Hopefully you can make it.

I looked at the Bronco Sport. I sat in it. I drive it. I was reminded of my old Jeep XJ so I bought one. Instead $150 for gas every week, I pay $60. I’ll take the win.
Ha Ha same here... this "is" my daily driver and weekend warrior... and besides picking good lInes off trail... I have had no limitations... in fact I always refer to my BS/BL as the Baby Bronco... also know as a Jeep Recovery vehicle... hahahah

ON my Ram I was forking over that same $150 a week and wishing for a tail wind... now I'm good to go for about $50 with premium unleaded on the same drive to work and home...

I was not at all comparing the 2.7L Badlands with Sas to our Sports. That vehicle would be a whole different beast with a different purpose (plus a waaaaay bigger price tag). I specified the base Bronco 2.3L engine not being too far off from the 2.0L Sport Badlands.

Harsh words from someone who owns a Sport. What made you want to try the Sport? Have you had the opportunity to play around with its capabilities and features?
Yes I have played in both! It didn't make sense to own a real Bronco for a daily driver. A real truck with a frame capable of some heavy 4 wheeling without ripping the under carriage out. My sport Badlands is more my style. Some backwoods fire road driving, ice, snow. A tad more luxurious. I have everything. Moon roof, lux. Completely sucks for towing. Perfect for daily driving in winter condition in northern idaho.

I'm happy with fords styling of the broncos. And the sport is not an escape, i don't think the escapes are awd and have the goat modes or the storage like zipper pockets and molle e etc

Who i roll my eyes at is Chevy and their blazer. It just looks like any ol jellybean suv. Talk about just putting a favored retro name on something to get sales.

Same here. I do a 1,500-mile trip five times a year. I'll take the mileage of the BS and FE.

33.3 mpg on the trip last year with my FE. Over 500 miles on a tank of fuel. Metrowest Boston to very lower Delmarva, Exmore, VA.

Escapes can be AWD. Mine is. Has different driving settings, too.

When does this thread get “ no longer accepting responses” ?

I’m in the camp that they both are great and have their place in the automotive world. They are not in direct competition with one another. Apples and Oranges. I like them both.

Just read today that Chevy is going to be making a 4-door electric Corvette. Why oh Why? guess they are taking Fords cue from the mach-E (refuse to call that thing a Mustang)

I would push back and say if you dont have a Bill Stroppe Baja Bronco or Big Oly Bronco, you don't have a real Bronco.
Heck, even the OJ Simpson Bronco is better, lol
