Happy New Year, everyone!
Today, I installed Go Rhino Dominator D6 running boards on my Bronco Sport. I scored them on Facebook Marketplace for just $100, and they came with the mounting brackets included—a steal considering these typically retail for $500–$700 online.
The only hiccup was that the mounting screws were missing. Luckily, my little brother and I were able to improvise a solution. It was a bit of a hassle at first, but we got it sorted, and now the boards are mounted just as securely as they would be with the original hardware. (For anyone curious, I’ve included a link to the installation instructions from RealTruck below.)
I know these running boards reduce some clearance on the sides, but I’m planning to add a 2.5-inch Woolworth lift kit, which should offset that. Overall, I’m thrilled with how these look on the Bronco—they’re sturdy and functional. They’ll be perfect for off-roading, loading kayaks, and, of course, keeping my doors safe from stray shopping carts while I’m “mall crawling.”
