I am curious about those of you who are like me and bought off a lot rather than placing an order. Did you get the color/trim/options you wanted, or did you have to settle for something else because you wanted the Sport that much.

For me the BS wasn't even on the radar. I was looking into a Maverick to replace my 2019 Ranger because I wanted something a little smaller that got better gas mileage, plus saving money on a cheaper vehicle. It was the area 51 color that I really loved and somewhere along the line I ended up looking at the BS online and it made more sense from a practical standpoint. I figured I could get a small trailer that I can use when I need to haul stuff. Also there were three things I had to have, push button start with smart entry, blind spot monitoring and AWD. That would put me into a lariat ecoboost in the Maverick which was really more than I wanted to spend. I decided I wanted a Big Bend in Area 51. I like the body colored roof better than the black or grey and I think it has the best looking wheels of all the trims (although the alloy 'steelies' are very cool, didn't want to spend the money on a Badlands). I also really don't like the two color options for leather in the Outer Banks. Turns out my local dealer had a Big Bend in Area 51 with the Big Bend package and tow package on the way at MSRP. I put $500 down and waited. I learned on this forum how to track it and I knew it was on the lot before my salesman did. Unfortunately, they couldn't sell it because of the FDM recall. So I waited some more. Then we found out that the recall had been taken care of before it was shipped and it was some sort of oversight. Still they wouldn't sell it to me and my salesman told me they wouldn't tell him why. He said they possibly found something else wrong with it but I think they sold it out from under me. Anyway, he found another big bend at a dealer in the seattle area. Same color and trim but missing the tow package. It also had the ebony interior rather than the medium dark slate the original one. I like the ebony better. They offered to dealer install the hitch for $550 which is about $250 less than normal so I took them up on it and they did a great job. I am honestly not sure if I would have taken any other color just to get the vehicle. Cactus gray and carbonized gray maybe. Also one last thing. When I drove my car off the lot it was the first time I had even sat in one much less driven one. That is something I've never done with a new vehicle. I was sure it was going to be awesome and it is. It is far and away my favorite of all the cars I've had over the years. Ultimately I am glad I got this one because the original was one of the lot rot June builds that sat for like four months before it was shipped to the dealer.
I took red because it’s the only first edition I could find!

Bought off the lot. Had to have Badlands with sunroof, tow package and Falkens. After 3 months of searching couldn't find one. Dealer tried to trade for one out of town, couldn't pull off the trade (he was gonna give up a Mach E).

Didn't wanna order in July and then wait, I have no patience for that.

Finally found one correctly equipped, and just bought it. I was so gung ho I blew it. They knew I wanted it, but sales manager stuck his nose in and asked "what do I have to do to get you to buy this today?" and I should've asked for free rubber mats, but I STUPIDLY just said, " promise me I'll be able to drive it out of here in 2 hours."

Oh colors. Wanted Cyber Orange, Area 51 or Cactus Grey. The one I found is black, which I can live with. Liked I said, no patience to keep looking, this was the one and only BL among 6 dealers in 3 months of looking that had the tires, moon roof and towing package.

I bought mine off the lot 4 weeks ago right as the strike started. Fully equipped Shadow Black Badlands. Was exactly what I was looking for and got $1500 under MSRP. Was really lucky to land it as it was the only fully equipped Badlands of any color in the metro area. Would have taken other colors but shadow black was top choice.

I bought mine off the lot because I have no patience for a factory order. I wanted an OBX and my dealer had a Hot Pepper red in the showroom that I fell in love with. I'm looking to upgrade the tires and possibly the wheels.

My wife saw the robins egg blue Heritage edition on the lot and said "Stop! This is the one." And it was :like:

I started with wanting a Big Bend, then started wanting more features, so I started looking at Outer Banks, then decided that I wanted the bigger engine so I started looking at the Badlands, but, then I really started to like the robins egg blue…so I ended up with a Heritage Limited. Go figure, I upsold myself….

I had been looking for a few months at Toyota 4Runners and Bronco Sports. I could not find a 4Runner that had the trim and options I wanted. I tried to buy a BS at a couple of dealerships, but could not make a deal. That turned out to be a good thing as I learned about options I decided I wanted. I decided on a 2023 Badlands with all the options: Co-Pilot360 assist, tow package, cargo management system, power moonroof, and premium package. For the color, I got Carbonized Gray Metallic. I had the dealer also give me wheel locks and a cargo mat. I asked for those items after I was given a price. No problem for the dealer as that is small change for them. It certainly is a vehicle with a lot of tech on it. After a couple of weeks, I am still learning all the details.

I came from four previous BMWs. I discovered their blue leather interior and wanted that for my next car. One day I searched blue interiors and the BS First Edition came up. One was local so I went to see it and fell in love. I figured if it wasn’t going to be an BMW; at least it would be unique as one of the first to roll off the line. Area 51, cool as heck looking and my blue interior. Love

I bought it off the LotI would have liked a Badlands in the Atlas Blue for the 2.0 Eco Boost 4 cylinder but it would have been way more money a month than the F-150 i had!!I wanted a lower payment not higher!!I wish Ford would offer the 2.0 Eco Boost 4 cylinder in the Base,Outer Banks and Big Bend models!!But maybe they don't because it would maybe take away sales of the Badlands!!So i ended up in a Atlas Blue Big Bend that looked a lot like the Atlas Blue Badlands i really liked!!
