I many never get used to this thing. What to do and when to do it?

Interesting side note: The motorcycle industry has also been adding mostly pointless features to digital instrumentation on bikes. And yet there is a sizeable number of buyers who prefer the bikes without all the extras because those extras bring nothing but added cost and complexity to the riding experience.
Nothing says wind in your hair and freedom of the open road quite like 3 separate onboard systems that can determine your exact location within half a meter at all times.

Maybe go to the dealership and ask them to tutor you a little on using the features and technology, might help you enough to want to keep the car. Hell, I’m 75 and I can relate about figuring out technology but if you learn how to use the stuff you need, you go on from there.

In theory, new car delivery is supposed to include a thorough walkthrough of basic settings & functions. In practice, they just want you off the lot so they can move to the next fish.

The reality is the salesperson likely knows far less than you do, anyway. The clue is in their title: Sales. They're not car people.

Years back I sold cars. Now I sell computer related tech. In both cases I made a point of knowing what I was talking about.

Product knowledge is a valuable thing, but on the other hand you can overwhelm customers with technical information. It’s a matter of balance.

When I picked up my Bronco Sport last October I was given a pretty thorough rundown of the car’s features, equipment and the info screen. It felt a bit overwhelming, but the rep (who happened to be the dealership’s general manager) told me not to stress over it and referred me to the numerous video tutorials Ford had on all the car’s features. Later over some days I did look up some of those videos and they were indeed helpful. Each video was brief, maybe 3 or 4 minutes long and each dealt with only one subject so it didn’t feel like an info dump. You can take it at your own speed rather than watching a whole bunch of them one after another.

The issue with info screens is that like smartphones and tablets they do a slew of things you may likely never use, but as long as they do the few things you need then you’re good. Like I did I would encourage folks to focus on learning how to use what features you need and don’t worry about the rest of it.

I was convinced when I bought the car that I would almost never use the adaptive cruise. Now I think it is probably the best feature available on the car. It doesn't let you quit driving, you have to stay checked in and ready to stop the car if needed. But it was a hurdle to let myself give the machine that much control.

Can't say much about the button issue, because that is a new problem for '25 cars. I'd also hate it. I do know that if you get used to pushing the "voice" button on the steering wheel, if you can memorize 6-12 commands, you can do a lot of the things you're hoping the car will do with that one button. You can tell it "set climate to 65 degrees" or even use more colloquial speech like "I'm hot" or "I'm cold" and the Sync 4 can work with that.
I likely won't buy another vehicle w/o adaptive cruise.

One negative -> When I am driving my 2015 F150 w/cruise on, I have to REMIND MYSELF that it won't slow down automatically.

The ‘25 Bronco Sport is my first vehicle with adaptive cruise and i’m surprised how much I like it. My only experience has been with rentals and I didn’t like them. It seems much better in the Bronco.
I don’t like the lane assist. It seems like all it does is narrow the effective width of the lane. Without it I can drive the entire width of the lane without issue. With lane assist, as soon as I approach the edge of the lane I feel the steering wheel tug.

I agree. I'm don't like the lane Assist for the reasons you mentioned, I also love the adaptive cruise!

True I've bought 3 or 4 F-150's the BS BB I had and now the 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB from the same salesman and I'm like WTH no Tachometer in the Maverick and He just looked at me and didn't say a word.I looked somewhere online and found the Tachometer in the settings although it sucks. It's narrow and goes bottom to top like the Temp Gauge between the Temp Gauge and digital speedometer not the Nice Large Tachometer like the BS BB had. But otherwise i Love the Maverick just wish it had the large Tachometer and Bliss like the BS BB had.

My '23 Sport is still in the family but I don't own it anymore. My wife took it off my hands. She needed a new car but hated spending a ton of money on something new. I gave her a great deal on it. It has less than 2,000 miles and is in pristine condition with plenty of extras and one year left on the warranty. She's happy with it so far. Just enough new tech not to drive her crazy. Me, I was never really thrilled with it. I wanted something with a more luxurious feel to it. I bought a new 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT. Great ride, much more power than the Bronco and plenty of comfort and tech. Best of all no payments.

Oh no You bought a Santa Fe hope you don't have the transmission go out at 5,000 miles like other guy on here did that had a 2025 Santa Fe.

Hi Bill, how are you? I understand that technology can be complicated, I'm an old man myself. If you don't get used to it, the best thing to do is sell it and trade it in for another vehicle that makes you happier. As another forum member says: life is short, and you have to enjoy it as much as possible. If you don't enjoy a car, there's no point in owning it. I'm telling you this because a few years ago I bought a Toyota Fortuner (SW4 in my country) and sold it after three months of owning it. Good luck.
True i got rid of my 2023 BS BB because of a few issues and the recalls but mostly the issues[Fuel Gauge, System Off To Save Battery and Bad Dash Rattles with only 6,600 miles on it and i wasn't happy with it.FWIW the battery wasn't one of the recalls. Got a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with 2.0 EB and couldn't be happier.I should have looked into the Maverick when i got the BS BB since i had a bunch of trucks before the BB BS. But the Mavericks seemed pretty scarce when i got the BB BS.

And to the OP my 2025 Maverick has the settings on the Stereo Screen i usually set them when I'm sitting still and then I find it easier to find the settings when I'm driving.

How do you feel about talking to it to change the temperature? Will be safer.
Great question.

I prefer certain things remain just a "twist of the knob" away.
