This might sound like is a light out, but it has happened 4 times in the almost two years that I have had it.
The first time they had it for 3 days and replaced the module, which fixed it for a few months until it started again.
I checked the turn signals and break lights, and everything seems to be ok, but they said it was a faulty break light. Again, that fixed for a few months.
When it started the next time, it would blink rapid until I went over a bump and then it would go over a bump and then go back to normal. This went on for a month and when I took it in, again they had it for a few days and said they could find nothing.
The 4th time it happened, they said the wire was chewed by a rodent and it cost me $400+ for it to be fixed. The car is always in my garage, and I have a month rodent inspection for my house, inside of garage included.

When I asked why only on the right side, they did not have an answer.

We will see what happens in a few months.
Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Typically the side that has the fast blinking has an issue with the brake light bulb being bad and needs to be replaced, it's an easy check to make with 2 people. When I had the fast blinking issue, that is what fixed mine.

I did check the lights and they were fine. Brake lights and turn signals.

Maybe problem was always the chewed wire and while others have had various rodents chew on their bronco you keeping yours in the garage and having rodent inspection monthly seems new.
But then the need for monthly inspection probably means rodents are around.

What was included in the $400?
Did they replace a harness or just repair a wire?
Diagnostic time for electrical issues can add up, though most places will come to you after an hour after not being able to find the issue and let you know they need more time to diagnose.

I would ask them where the damaged wire was that way you can maybe do something to prevent it from happening again or know what area to look at first if it were to happen again.

Squirrels are good at chewing as well. The fast blink indicates which side the light bulb is out on. Don’t park near trees in parking lots either.

Also had a fast blinking bulb on the right side but it was due to a failed brake light bulb. I, unfortunately, replaced both brake light bulbs with Sylvania 3157 Red LED Mini Bulb (Pack of 2) - 3157RSLBP2. These list as compatible on most auto parts store websites but cause hyper-flashing. Would love to have a fix without purchasing incandescent bulbs or adding capacitors.

It does seem odd that so many owners are running into failed brake light bulbs on vehicles that are only a few years old.

Same here, I'd ask where's the location that the repair was done at. I'm not sure how the wiring is routed for the rear lighting, but you might be able to visually inspect it yourself for future reference.

You could always just make left turns only.

Seems odd that so many owners, myself included, are replacing the rear right-hand side brake light bulb.

Electricity works in a balanced equation of voltage-amperage-resistance. A bulb is a resistor so when it's out, the overall scheme of the circuit changes. If it isn't a bulb, and it can be any filament on any bulb in the circuit so make sure you check the BRAKE filaments and not just the RUNNING LAMPS. Once you're positive it isn't a bulb, it's something else which is altering the circuit. Possibilities are a faulty fuse, a faulty ground point, a faulty connection, plug or a partially severed wire. You can try a replacement fuse. Sometimes they look OK/allow current, but are actually blown or weakened. Electrical gremlins are hard to chase down. If you had a rodent in the wires, that isn't good. Could be lingering damage beyond just the chewed wire.

It does seem odd that so many owners are running into failed brake light bulbs on vehicles that are only a few years old.
I figure that is a combination thing. A combination of most traditional bulbmakers quitting production and/or selling off to other companies. (Seriously, GE sold the division in 2020) The new companies make lousier product at cheaper prices. A combination of Ford choosing to put the worst/cheapest bulb in on the assembly line instead of a LL bulb that could cost the company $0.003 per unit. A combination of people using brakes/lights more than ever. Does anyone experience less traffic / less braking than before? Not me! I see people spending more time than ever before sitting around idling with the lights/brakes on. Idling at Starbucks, idling for curbside, idling in the parking lot. That adds up to more hours/mile of bulb use.

Mine fancy-blinks every few months and then disappears ?. The lights are fine. All left turns really do solve the problem ? as I cannot not use my blinker ( I can hear Dad’s voice in my head). Lol, good luck and Merry Christmas ya filthy BS lovers!
