How many of you are using the new forum app?

Or are you just sticking with the browser on mobile?

I use the new Bronco Sport Forum App on my iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 26.0.1 but will be on iOS 26.1.* soon)

I also need to use the browser version on the iPhone because of quirks in the Bronco Sport Forum App

Although the Bronco Sport Forum App looks very similar to the browser version on the iPhone I’ve had a few issues with the App

The main issue I have with the Bronco Sport Forum App is with copying links from other BS Forum threads to be able to paste into a current thread in the App that I’m currently on.

Have you been able to do a search in the App, find a thread of interest, then press on the area of the thread that shows the thread # to copy the link in that thread?

However, the method of using the menu bar at the bottom of the App (see circled) does work fine to copy the thread link. I’ll just need to get used to extra steps

Yes.

Below the orange Attach/Reply/Preview buttons, select “Share”. On iPhone, a screen pops up with available sharing actions. The third row of actions has “Copy” as the first option. Select that and the url is copied to the clipboard. Paste as normal in your reply.

Don’t know about Android (not even sure if the app’s on their store).

I had updated my post just before you replied with the alternate method to copy a link that I have used. Basically similar to using share (same number of steps)

Minor complaint but the App is abit more convoluted when searching other posts to copy a link and paste into another thread. So I use the browser version for that

And with the Forum browser version, can open multiple to search in one browser window and read a different thread in another Forum browser version. I haven’t seen a way to do that in the App

The app works so much better than the browser version. I wasn’t visiting or commenting very often for a while as it was so painfully slow. They fixed it for a short period when it was down but that didn’t last long. Hopefully the app doesn’t end up the same.

That method works for copying the link to the top of the thread

My specific “issue” is copying the link to a specific post in a thread, for example this link I copied from the browser version which is to post #17 in a thread … (this link is just for example, to show but otherwise has nothing specific to do with your post about the app)

Gotcha. It does seem to be a shortcoming. Have to check with @Administrator to see if that's something that could be added.

Both. I use the app on my phone, but I use the website on my MacBook more frequently. There are a couple of quirks with the app, mainly in the area of navigation for me.

I much prefer Tapatalk for phone browsing of forums (forumii?)... it's kind of like mobile payments - everybody wants to do their own thing, and so you have to navigate multiple apps and interfaces.

Give me Apple Pay wallet and Tapatalk and I'll be fine.

And if you click the above link in the App, you might get (like I’ve seen) the following error which does not occur when clicking the link in the browser version. There are these sorts of inconsistencies between the App and the browser version

That link is not working because you added a quotation mark at the end of the link when posting it.

Here's the same link but without a quotation mark at the end and loads in the forum app without issue

I’m using the App for awhile and collecting the “inconsistencies” (which may just be how the App has to work) before sending those to the Administrator for consideration

Here's the same link but without a quotation mark at the end and loads in the forum app without issue

Yep I inadvertently added a quotation mark at the beginning and end of the link when I posted it then I went back in and edited the post to remove both quotation marks - apparently the ending quotation mark actually was not removed

when I use the browser and click on the same link in my post, the link opens correctly

I went back to my post and fixed the link so it works ok now
