How do I program a (third) bronco sport key fob?

Howdy.... will this process work if I only have 1 key FOB? If so, do I just skip the 2nd key or put the 1st key back in for the 2nd key option?

Not sure if anyone else already brought this up. If so, my apologies for the redundancy.

I have a remote M2DT-15K601-CA 902 MHz from a 2024 Ford Bronco. I recently purchased a 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and noticed that it uses a R2DT-15K601-CA 434 MHZ remote. I am guessing the M2DT won't work on the Bronco Sport. Unfortunately, Ford as categorized the R2DT remotes as being discontinued or obsolete from what I heard.

Any thoughts or insights with this?

You must have 2 operating key fobs present to add an additional key fob. This is to prevent an unknown from adding a key fob to your vehicle.

not if you use Forscan with the extended licence, it will let you program keys. at least it used to when I replaced a key fob for my daughters car.

Are you sure? Can I add a key to a 2023 Brnoco Sport with Forscan and a paid license? I only have one key from the auction.

I am almost positive that a Ford Dealer can create a second key fob if only one is available but if they can it will be expensive. I paid over $600 for a third key fob when I purchased my BS new. This included cutting the emergency key. I like to have the third key as a service key to give to the dealer when bringing the BS in for service vice.

go to there site and read, it supports PATS programing. I think they have a section where you can enter your car info and you can see if it is supported, the bronco has been around long enough now it should be on the list if there is anything different to its programing than the other ford cars. there isn't any harm in trying it at any rate. if it doesn't work you can always just take the blank you bought to a locksmith and get them to program it for a reasonalbe price.

SRSLY though. It works. I did it successfully last night. Only problem I had is that the manual I found online said the "slot" is at the bottom of the center console which I interpreted as the box. Instead, lift up the rubber mat next to the wireless charger and drop your key in the slot it reveals.
