I have it on my 2025 Big Bend with Black Diamond off road package. I think it's on the Sasquatch package, too, but not 100% positive. Also, I think they're standard on the Badlands trim level.

Were standard. They’re an option for ‘26 and beyond.

I got the straps that secure under the hood to the fenders with screws and I was amazed at how flimsy the hood and even the fenders felt. I will give them a try with my canoe and if they cause problems I will attach the front recovery points. Hopefully the hood can take the compression from straps in that case.

JMHO, I'd be worried about tweaking the hood with those straps pulling up on the edges since the hood is aluminum. Cheers!

Good point. Maybe flat bar that you could pivot out as needed. Still, the forces would always be going up into the hood.

Probably best to anchor off the bumper.

Still, a rather ingenious idea.

Yes I agree, lots of flex when I pull up and lots of flex on the fender flange its bolted to
I wonder if one of those hood protectors would survive a strap going over it.

I read once that you must have a rope from the bow of the canoe to the front of the car. I always have. For my Jeep Liberty, I made home made tie downs like the ones Garth shows. A simple nylon strap with a grommet through it. On my Superduty, I installed eye bolts in the wheel well, but I don't know if that is possible with my Sport.

Yes Ive always secured the bow over the hood, I was hoping for something that wouldnt scratch the paint or put too much pressure on the grill which sticks out a bit.

I've seen photos of these things made on a 3D printer. But I think they're just decorative, because the aluminum hood isn't rigid enough to attach anything to its corners.
