I use the TLAR method--seems to've worked for the past 40 years or so.
Before I lost sleep wondering what TLAR means so I looked it up on Google. I went through numerous definitions until I found one that looks about right.🥴

I want to know what everybody does with the .4 Qts. that are left in the container?
I mix it up with some gas and use it as weed killer.

I don't get it... I have a '22 and it only takes about 5.5qt. I use Take 5 Oil change and watch them add the oil. I am only billed for 5.5. They even show me the dipstick as full.

What gives?
Go back to post #13 in this thread and you will have your answer. Cheers!

Same for our 22 Big Bend, composite pan holding 6.6 quarts. Confused me at first until I found this thread and then found the card in our dealer docs. Interesting that the VIN shows the vehicle with a steel pan....
I am changing the oil in a few days and am always nervous about reinstalling the plastic drain plug. I purchased new O-rings but would like to have a new drain plug as well. I can't find the part number anywhere including calls to Ford's customer assistance and 5 dealerships. None of the people I spoke with seem to know anything about the composite pans on our vehicles!
I found this part number for the Escape (KX6Z-6730-B) but not sure it is the same.
Does anyone know the correct part number?

I would bet they are the same they measure from the top the size of the pan most likely wouldn't have changed where the upper level of the oil needs to be so that it is clear of the connecting rods and drains from the top of the motor
