Intermittently while at idle there is no heat. Vents blow cold until you start driving again. Then heat returns. Also seemed to only work with recirc selected. Might be ok next leg of trip. Anyone else?

probably thermostat going bad and sticking.
Have to think on that idea. Seems more like blend door issue or similar. Since recirculating has to be selected

could be yeah. could also be your water pump failing on the 1.5. did you check coolant level?

being a 23 take it back to dealership have them take a look. better than us just guessing.

Will check. Just seeing if anyone else has experienced the same. Dealers like to blow stuff off. Quoting TSB or having some knowledge has helped in the past. I went round and round once because service manager(not at Ford dealer)said it wasn’t a know issue so problem didn’t exist. I said someone has to be first. Service writer found that there was an issue.

My Jeep Cherokee does the same thing. The heat won’t come on when I do remote start. But once I start it the heat comes through.

Look up PTC Heater in this forum. Ford installed supplemental PTC heaters at no charge to BS. Somebody claims this applies to 38 states.

Been at the dealer all day. No codes. They have no idea yet. I’ll add it does start blowing cold a few minutes after moving again just when you think heat is on after moving again.
They are looking into a small coolant leak as a possibility
