I'd read somewhere that the Wi-Fi hotspot could be eliminated from some builds depending on the availability of parts, but I don't see anything in the Wi-Fi or FordPass Connect settings menus about a Wi-Fi hotspot, even though my 2023 Badlands doesn't seem to have the "4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot Credit" on the window sticker. Is anyone else missing this functionality? It's not really something I need, as I have a phone on Verizon with unlimited data, but it might have been nice for when I'm in areas where AT&T has coverage but Verizon does not.

This article applied to the 2022s starting late in 2022 and I’m not sure about the 2023 impact. But if you don’t see the $20 credit you should have the 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot feature.

Hmmm, I wonder if I need to reboot or something in order to get it to show up. The salesman did have a bit of trouble getting the FordPass Connect app to connect with the vehicle at first, though I am aware that it's possible to connect without having the hotspot option or a paid data plan.

And it doesn't seem like anything taken away in 2022 has been added back for 2023, so who knows.

what does your FordPass App say when
you click this button to start your free AT&T hot spot trial period?

I don't even see a "Features & Settings" section anywhere on the app. Under "Vehicle," I see the odometer reading, fuel gauge, distance to empty, etc., then collapsible menus for Status and Safety & Security, but that's it.

I ordered our Bronco Sport in August and clicked on hot spot option. Window sticker does not show deletion. I am taking delivery of the BS this afternoon. Yay! I think it will have the hotspot modem

I don't see it listed on my window sheet (2022) yet it is in there. Use Fordpass from your phone, under vehicle - Features and Settings, you will see it if available. I actually started the setup for it so confirmed it is in there, but decided against it before finishing the setup.

Well it seems like you saved $20 on the price of the 2023 BS or maybe no modem is just standard on 2023s IDK. Btw my FordPass is Version 4.23.1 but sure looks like you got the WiFi delete option and do not have the modem.

Yeah, it certainly looks that way, but it's definitely not on the window sticker. I'll ask the dealer about it.

Odd. My 2022 OB has it and from what I am reading, you should too. Is there a chance you need to update the FordPass?

I seem to have the latest version, as I installed it for the first time just two days ago.

Thanks. I'm going to try rebooting the system to see if that makes it show up, but it looks like it simply isn't there.
And next week if you have time call the SYNC3: Connected Services Team at +1 (833) 389-0848 or you might be able to leave a message for Daniel, IVT Research Escalation Specialist, Ford CX Team
1-866-631-3788 ext.76377 (don’t know if he can call you back since you don’t have an open ticket with them) … the SYNC3 customer support person will be able to look up your VIN and tell you for sure if the WiFi modem is installed or not. That modem is “only” for the WiFi hotspot but I know your post said you wanted it as a backup to Verizon which makes perfect sense. I’d give you mine if that were possible bc I don’t use it.
