Last week, when I was filling up, I decided I would do a run on eco mode. Every where I drove would be in eco. I know it effectively is just engine and throttle mapping but I wanted to see what if any difference I would experience. And I haven't seen much of a change. I'm getting closer to 25mpg now with the same driving as before, same circumstances. So not much of a difference, maybe an extra 15mi per tank maybe a bit more.
My usual mpg is 23.6 when driving with normal mode and that seems to hold pretty consistent. My driving consists of running errands in Denver and a weekend trip to go fishing. Some pretty good elevation changes getting to that fishing spot maxing out around 8,000ft and crossing several small for Colorado passes along with a fairly muddy country road effectively on the way back from the South Platte.
I'm sure some people on here have checked this out more extensively then I have and I'm not too worried about my average MPG so long as it stays above 23 I'm happy.
