This is my experience as well. Unless all your driving is in stop & go city traffic I don't think ECO mode will provide much benefit.I used the ECO mode in the beginning but the normal mode gets the same. I am pleased.
It’s all about drag when you’re driving a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick. Abq is at +5000 ft elevation, so you benefit from the thinner air up there. Thinner air = less drag.2022 Badlands here... 235/65/17 Falcon Wildpeaks
Weight isn't the issue. I got 33 mpg with 400 lbs of water in the back on the way up and a load of firewood on the way back from our property. 70 mph max speed. In town I sometimes get 28 mpg, and long term average is 26 mpg.
A roof rack adds wind resistance, and that can make a couple of mpg difference.
I just got my new Heritage, and it’s showing about 13mpg. I know it’s new and I’ve only driven a few miles in the city, but does this sound right? Is anyone else struggling with their gas mileage? The best I do is 21mpg, right now I'm between 19 and 20mpg. I was under the impression that I should be getting 25 city and 28+ highway. I drive normal and not like a jack ass, i keep rpms at about 1.5 while cruising. I've tried the eco mode and that doesn't seem to do anything. Am I missing something? I have falken wild peaks, but even with the stock tires I still averaged crap mpg.
My 22 Badlands did that after each reset when I filled the tank, but the mileage got so much better after the 1000 mile break in period. I quit resetting the main mileage at every fill up and moved to Trip 1. I haven’t paid too much attention on my 23 Badlands since it’s sitting at 825 miles. I know, from the prior vehicle, that the mileage will be much better after the first 1000-2000 miles.I just got my new Heritage, and it’s showing about 13mpg. Yes, that sounds right. Short trips on a cold engine are the worst case scenario for fuel economy.I just got my new Heritage, and it’s showing about 13mpg. I know it’s new and I’ve only driven a few miles in the city, but does this sound right?
Time for its first long adventure. There has to be a friend you haven't seen in awhile that would make for a nice travel, yes?I just got my new Heritage, and it’s showing about 13mpg. I know it’s new and I’ve only driven a few miles in the city, but does this sound right?
Drove to work on the highway, and we are up to 18. Taking a three-hour drive to the beach next week, just me and the girl. We are calling her Ditty, after my husband’s mom. She recently died, and we paid for the car with the sale of her house.Time for its first long adventure. There has to be a friend you haven't seen in awhile that would make for a nice travel, yes?
Mine is just about the sameWe bought a used 2021 BS BB with original Continental tires in February. Took a short drive to my nephew's, mostly highway driving. We were very happy to see this...beats mpg with our former 2014 Explorer hands down! We have only used normal mode in our BS.
