Hello all!
Taking delivery Wednesday of a 2021 BS Badlands.
Living in the People’s Republic of New Jersey we need a front plate. Does anyone have any options that do not require drilling and screwing into the bumper? Like a compression fit or something?
Thanks in advance, pics of the new ride to follow.

I don’t know if one exists, but there are some options that work in tow hook spots. On the BS BL there just isn’t an easy way to remove the tow hook and install a license plate holder.

The other option might be one of the “bull bars”, which aren’t good for much of anything beyond light mounting points, and in this case maybe a license plate mount as well.

I know this thread is old but wondering if you found a solution? My state also requires a front license plate which I have been able to avoid until today..got a fix-it ticket ?. I also don't want to drill into the bumper. I found this https://www.cravenspeed.com/the-platypus-license-plate-mount-for-ford-bronco-sport/
But wondering if anyone has found anything a little cheaper or has had luck with the one in the link?

I went through this with my Porsche Boxster. Other posts here covered the options I saw. The tag decal is not approved by my state and I did not like the tow hitch mount. I bought the one for show cars that attached underneath the car but I never installed it. I have left it off for over a year and there have been no tickets, so I probably will leave it off until that happens.

Velcro comes in industrial strength now, order from them directly if you can’t find it locally.

That would probably work. You may have to place some of those on the backside, too. I got some of those to fabricate a GoPro mount for a kayak and the ones I got were rated 65lbs.

Take a look at the 3M Dual Lock tape. That stuff is much stronger than the industrial Velcro and the adhesive holds up better in heat. That is why many states use the tape for mounting EZ-Pass and Sun-Pass transponders on windshields. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40072056/
