I recently upgraded from a 2024 BS Outer Banks to the 2024 BS Badlands. The differences are noticeable, particularly with the engine, which is a significant improvement. The BS Badlands rides and drives smoothly and solidly. Additionally, the infotainment system is different, with more readouts than what I had before. The interior feels top-of-the-line, and the leather and suede are genuine. Overall, I am delighted with my upgrade.

My wife likes the bells and whistles of the Outer Banks model too much for me to switch.

We are looking this year to move up to the full size Bronco, and that will be her requirement to do so.

The Badlands with the Tech Package is as good as it gets. So you are good with that. Not sure what he is saying about the outer banks having more stuff. I recently traded my BS Heritage Limited which was a short run of Badlands with the Heritage look and it was great vehicle. I had ordered a 2025 Badlands with the Sasquatch package and all the boxes checked but when the prices dropped on the full size I went with that. After driving the Full Size which is a top of the line WildTrack with all the options I missed the BS and told the dealer when the one I ordered comes in I will take that as well. The memory seat is a big one and on the highway the BS is way better as far as noise and comfort. The New 2025 should be in this week and my wife is looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong the full size is nice but if I had to chose one after driving the full size for a couple of months I would hands down go with the BS Badlands if I had to chose between them.

You will be just fine in snow! Had my Big Bend driving around in about a foot of snow and really didn’t have any issues at all. You might want better tires but your drive train with the Badlands will be just fine.

Not sure about the 25 model year but for 21 - 24 model years the Outer Banks had some additional features like ambient lighting and rain sensing wipers which I assume are the wipers that turn on automatically if the wiper stalk was kept on the intermittent notch that was not available on the Badlands. There may have been a couple of other features on the Outer Banks that were not offered on the Badlands but cannot recall.

Even though I wanted those features offered on The Outer Banks the 2.0L engine was more important to me so we went with the Badlands when we bought ours.

From looking at the 25 order guide these extra features that where on the Outer Banks were deleted.

I just checked and this is what I found about the wipers. Strang how my new Full Size Bronco WildTrack with the High Package does not have rain sensing wipers.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands trim comes standard with rain-sensing windshield wipers.

  • Standard Feature: Rain-sensing wipers are included in the Badlands trim.
  • Other Badlands Features: The Badlands trim also features a more powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine, full LED front lighting, upgraded 4WD, heated front seats, and leather upholstery.
  • Outer Banks Trim: The Outer Banks trim also features rain sensing wipers

Ummm…no it does not. I own a 2025 Badlands and rain sensing wipers are not included. We had rain here recently and the wipers did not adjust speed or activate/stop automatically when put in the intermittent mode. They kept a constant delay sweep based on the setting of the dial.

I would defiantly question that with the dealer. It might be because yours was a early production but the current website as of tonight says it does. If you move the switch past the first position it will do intermittent.

You are both right - sort of … the Canadian Badlands does come with the rain sensing wipers

and it’s not the first time the Ford order website has an incorrect description— see the discussion on power fold side mirrors

Just to be sure, see this pic which is for the ‘21-‘24 Wiper stalk … do you have anything on your ‘25 Wiper stalk resembling the “A” (for automatic) in a windshield icon on the stalk? (And an enable somewhere on a Sync 4 screen maybe)
That would likely be the best way to tell but in the USA the ‘21-‘24 Badlands also did not come with rain sensing wipers (only for Canada and maybe other countries)

I have a Canadian 2024 BS Big Bend and it has rain sensing wipers as standard equipment.
