Anyone that has one, what do you use the points for other than service? I have 333,000 points to spend.

I use the points for services performed at the dealer as well as accessories. The only bummer is they can only be used at the dealer and can't be used to purchase accessories online.

Since I started using FordPass Rewards I haven't paid a dime at the dealer. :)

Dealers around here charge $149 for oil change and just because I have a ton of points I won't waste them there.

Oh sorry, I missed that part in your original post regarding "other than service".

I've only done one oil change so far and it coincided with my first 10,000 maintenance schedule. My second oil change looks to hit at the next recommended service interval at 20,000 and I plan on using them again. Don't know what I'd spend them on otherwise.

Shouldn’t you have used them for the down payment?

Save them when you are ready for a new vehicle in the 3-7 years you’ll have a nice down payment

This, for certain. If it really grates on you to have those points sitting there, though, I could use the body side moldings I'm way too cheap to buy.

In addition to service I have used points to secure aftermarket towing goodies from Ford. I’m going to use accumulated points for service on my Honda also.

Ford pass points have an expiration date. I'm pretty sure for one year. When my wife totalled her base bronco, and I was negotiating with insurance company on the value. I did research with the Kelly blue book value. What I noticed with accessories like; factory floor mats and or like perimeter alarm, that the value was over msrp, I think they included installation fees. So I when negotiating with the insurance company, not mine by the way. I got my base broncos value to the badlands, which is how we ended up with the badlands. I also took these items back out of my totalled bronco, including everything I could take off, including the engine cover, and now everything is on new vehicle. So spending my ford pass points on accessories help me out in the end.

We've decided not to get seat covers so now I'm trying to figure out what to spend the 42,000 points on.

We do our own service, so that's out.

We've got the roof crossbars and the shackle hitch receiver.

Any ideas?

We have 321,000 and will use them for the bigger services like 30, 60 90,000 miles.

Thanks Jim.

Yeah, if you would have gone to the dealer for those services anyway, then that's a good way to use the points.

I was hoping to get something like maybe a nudge/brush bar -- but if we do that I'd want something strong and functional -- not just decorative.

That's just one idea.

Out of curiosity, how did you accumulate so many points?
