My questions is with this service fix is it also for the ‘23 models because I only see it’s for up to the ‘22 models.
I checked Technical Service Information for the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport … “Ford TSB 22-2485 Wireless Accessory Charger Inoperative/Poor Performance With Magsafe Charging iPhones” … is NOT listed.

You can see what is listed for the 2023 Bronco Sport:

thanks! I’m taking it in for oil change next Saturday so I’ll ask them and see what they say.

I had the dealer do TSB 22-2485 for the charging issue, I can say the charging issue has been fixed.”

Like someone else said, I thought this issue might be exacerbated by the camera bump that keeps the phone from lying flat and in full contact with the charging pad. Anyone tried to remedy this? I was thinking of buying a cheap iPhone case and cutting the back out of it so that the piece I cut out is short enough to go from bottom of phone up to the camera bump. Then lay it between the phone and the charging pad so it lies flat and has a constant connection.

Good question, I should have provided more details. Different cases but we use a common MagSafe desk top charger frequently and don't have any issues.
Can you share what specific case you are using that works with the wireless charger in your BS?

You still have the camera housing on the actual phone that prevent the iPhone from making flush contact with the charging pad

Actually, not the way I did it. The thickness of my case that I cut up so that I only have a section of case from just under the camera bump to the bottom of the phone essentially eliminates the "bump" making the camera lay flat. This did work for me and resulted in a continuous charge. Unfrotunately the phone is still getting very very hot. So, I won't be using this method.

Mine gets hot if I’m using it on a call or BT/music. It’s fine if I don’t use it, but charges like 2-3% in my 30 min drive lol

I'm using the Motorola wireless Android Auto adapter in my bs. The charging map doesn't have enough power to keep up with the phones battery drain. Plus the phone gets very warm when using that wireless charger.

I've noticed every wireless charging pad I've come across generates a decent amount of heat... and you're correct- the pad doesn't keep up with the drain on this or any other vehicle I've driven with one. Neat tech, way underwhelming in practice.

If anyone is looking for an iPhone 13 Pro Max case that works with the wireless charger in our BS’s I found this one on Amazon. The back of it is nearly perfectly flat so it maintains good contact with the charger. So far using this case I have not had a problem at all with my phone continually charging. It has still gotten quite warm at times though but it’s an improvement from my other case that had the camera bump sticking out.
