An earlier article I read said "salaried," which I assumed meant mgmt, but I read another that said mostly engineering staff. That's from both the ICE and EV sides.

The 1000 just announced relate to engineering in the US and Cañada. I’ve been following Ford’s cuts to engineering for past 6 months: “Ford Motor is cutting its engineering staff as it tries to manage costs during the expensive transition to electric vehicles”
