Ford is probably trying to simplify as many options as possible to help with the parts shortage issues.

I thought the headrest needed to be flipped down in order to not hit into the front seats when the seat backs are positioned down for more cargo space. I never tried it with the headrests up. It's too cold outside for me to go out and test it lol.
I like mine DOWN all the time anyway for better rearward visibility. This was not a feature on all trims. It depends upon how far back and/or reclined the are the front seats -- mine clear without folding but sometimes not if my passenger has messed with his/her seat. What a crazy thing to remove from the 'select' trims!

That’s disappointing.

Those hinges must be made of chips too.

Add this to the list: engine covers, temperature in the knobs, trunk buttons, what else??
It was noted a few months back that the ignition button no longer included the little green light.

On a positive note they haven’t taken away the USB ports in the back seat that they gave to us this year. Glass half full?

You know how many chips that little green light must have used!

Not ideal. But are we able to buy the 21 rear seat headrests and pop them in?

At this point I just hope they don’t add it all back in next year. I don’t want to sell her one day and get the “Oh, it’s a 22? Yeah that’s the one year no one wants.”

Funny, that was one of the first things I noticed after we picked up the '22 BL, I went to fold down the rear seats and was going to fold the headrest and was looking for the button, no dice. I was scratching my head because I remember that being on my '21 BL.

So far the '22 BL is missing the engine cover, they eliminated the temp readout on the HVAC buttons, and now the no folding rear headrests. That's just what I noticed so far. On the plus side it does have Homelink.

I had my dealer order new rear headrests for my 22 Badlands. The ones they received did fold and they slipped right in.
Thanks for the info. Can you provide a part number, by chance? So the replacements were 2021s? Thanks again.

I’m honestly angry at this missing ignition light! There have already been so many times where I can’t remember if I’ve turned my car on/off already, and resort opening the door to see if any error message pops up. I wonder if there’s an inexpensive way to replace this in the future.

Hmm...I have the big and small USB port + a 3 prong wall outlet thing right next to those usb ports.
