Ford Bronco Sport Fluid Storage Container patent 1707967027714

https://fordauthority.com/2024/02/future-ford-vehicles-may-get-fluid-storage-container/

that clearly is a Bronco Sport rear end. so....not a bad camping/overlanding equipment. Tho the trunk is very small to fit anymore stuff. but a an integrated system will be helpful to organize efficient usage of the limited space. now...water generation will be interesting. Are they intend the little drips of water out of tail pipe in the morning :)

or you mount a Source solar water generator panel on the roof.https://www.source.co/how-hydropanels-work/

now water heating system integrated into the car would be really cool.

Water is heavy--8 lbs/gal. If you put much weight over or behind the rear axle you'll likely need helper springs or another type of leveling system.

I agree. That would be a pretty cool piece if it ever gets to market. As anyone who goes outdoors, camps, canoes, kayaks, etc, will tell you ... its ALWAYS handy to have a water source wtih you.

I ended up getting the sloggn baseplate for my rtic cooler.

The kit worked splendidly on my trip to the mountains. So much so, that Im definitely thinking about getting the water tank adapter for it. The water tank its made for is only a 4 gallon tank, so not too heavy. But I think its key to only fill it up when you reach a "last chance for water before your final stop" kind of thing. That way you're not just lugging it over miles on the highway. I also like that its easily detachable, has a carry handle, and has multiple ways to pressurize it.

The one design I definitely want to stay away from is the roof mounted water tanks.

Crossing my fingers that this gets to market soon.

Saw that on FA this morning, too.

My initial thought: nope. Keeping it clean and sanitary.... Don't need another RV-like chore....

So, no thanks, rather just carry a 5-gallon jug and keep that clean.

But yes, cool idea.

My thoughts exactly, sounds like a headache to clean

I have a black 5 gallon water jug. I set it out in the sun and it gets hot in the summer. I have a tiny pump from Amazon and a spray hose from a shower. Works well, and doesn't take up much space.
