First Ford.

Hey hey,

I'm picking up my first ever FORD tomorrow.. and its a beautiful green Bronco Sport. I see some abbreviations floating around on here.. so its a BS BB? I'm leasing it off the lot, so it's coming with some things i would not have built into it, I'm more analogue than dependent on bells and whistles that tell me how to drive. I'm coming from 4 BMW's over the past 25 yrs... Any thoughts?

Why the Bronco, we needed a dependable new vehicle and I just liked the looks of it. I did some reading/watching and it seems to hit all the markers for quality in its class.

I see some fun upgrades.. maybe I'll partake!

As someone that came from BMW and Mercedes suvs, you’ll notice quite a change. It will not be as fast but I think still peppy but in general, I’d say it’s less luxurious but more fun. Don’t be afraid to drive it where you’d never take a BMW, that’s what I enjoy most.

Who can argue with "more fun"! I did notice it was a bit of sewing machine when i hit the peddle...( my mother had one and i used it from time to time lol!) but the 50% savings in fuel is going to be lovely in these crazy times! And my girlfriend will feel safer on the highway than she did in my usual maintenance in progress cars (e24 633, e24 M6, e46 Touring, e91 Touring)... Thanks for the warm welcome!

Mine is my first new Ford also - in 50 years of driving. Lady at the post today asked how I liked my Bronco. Told her they are fun - the tight turning radius one good thing as I pulled a U turn to park in front of the post. As opposed to a 3 point turn in my previous Silverado.

BS BL = Bronco Sport Badlands
I don't think I've seen any First Edition owners abbreviating BS FE, nor the Heritage and Heritage Limited owners abbreviating (BE H or BS HL).

Hi there Manny , we are just east of you. Welcome to the “Ford family of fine cars”. My first Ford was a 1966 Galaxie 500 7 Litre. Prior to our BB we drove a Lincoln Navigator. I think you will find lower total cost of ownership vs BMW and much more practical … You are in good company.
