Has anyone used the hood protector and how so they compare to having a shop done? Anyone do any diy clear bras?

Yeah I saw the lamin-x and apparently lost track of where I was at here as they do also sell DIY laminate. That was like 10 days ago. Since then I have had it done professionally. Sorry to bug ya Champ.
I think they are referring to the clear “film” type bug and stone guard offered by the same company that offers the fog light film.
I had a version of these on my 2004 WRX and they weren't good. I know a lot of people liked them, but they aren't as good as dedicated colored bulbs/LEDs. But if all you want is the colored lens, maybe it's OK. I still thought they looked cheap once they got dirty.
The trick is tons of soapy water when Applying. But also have a shop do it, if you have not done it before. Clear bra is tricky.
Bought their 8x8 sheet enough for 2 cars and cut my own circles. The BS is still in the shipping stage BS but practiced on the wife's Outback. Just have to go easy and work from the center round and round to avoid wrinkles, & bubbles. Worked best dry for me on the convex curved lenses - wet was too slippery.
