One of the first tasks for me 'new' Ford Bronco Sport was to find the Keyless Entry Code !

It is hidden in the fuse box on the passenger floor board.
- Move the passenger floor mat.
- Pull off the fuse box cover located at the passengers feet.
- Take a photo of the fuse box label.

There's an easier way...no crawling, no mirrors, no cell phone camera.
How to Retrieve Keyless Entry code

1. remove rubber mat from cell phone charge location.
2. Need both keys
3. Place first key in depression on right side of flat area
4. Press Start without foot on brake pedal
5. Hit Start button again
6. Replace first key with second key
7. Hit Start Button again
8. Press OK button on right side of steering wheel to clear message
and Factory Keypad Code will be displayed

This function was disable on my BS. I didn't bother enabling it with Forscan since it takes all of 10 seconds to Check the code stickered on the BCM.

We could not do that option. They only gave me ONE key !
I'd walk away from any used car that didn't include 2 keys. Used car dealer can assume the cost the cost of obtaining a second key, and I'd be suspicious of a private seller who didn't provide both keys.

That is a most excellent point !

Unfortunately, I did not think to ask the question. When I went to pick the car up the next day, they presented me with only one key !

Even worse, the vehicles brake tag was 8 months expired !!! and the salesman did not even know where I could get one done… (and I was hoping for a ‘we will take care of that for you’)

At least their slovenly behavior netted me a nice set of Jumper cables and a guide to the Texas state parks.

Hmm, I am not familiar with slovenly behavior as I always hear it refer to appearance. But methinks it is not the best attribute for a salesperson. This plus one key, would honestly make me a little nervous. Good luck my friend!

As an aside, the Sport looks wonderful in your postings pic. The red heritage is a great combo.

When I picked up my new car 10 months ago, I was presented with only 1 key. It was an oversight by the salesman AND the service department. The service department had my car in the bays to install Dealer Installed Options (aka DIO, factory included options ordered at time of vehicle ordering, but required to be installed by the delivering dealer).

The service department had neglected to return the key they had to the salesman, and the salesman neglected to ensure that he had the key to give to me on delivery of the vehicle. The sales document clearly states that the car includes 2 keys.
I did not leave the dealership until they located my second key.

With the price of a replacement key and programming costs, it is important for any buyer of a new or used car to insist that they receive all of the equipment provided by the factory.
At any rate, your car is a beauty. Enjoy it!

I have a friend who paid $400 for a new key. I have a neighbor who paid $1400 when she lost both keys. It might save you a $1000 to get an extra key made. First, I think I'd follow up with the seller first to make sure they don't have the other key.

Slovenly can also refer to behavior. So now you can be familiar.
"in an untidy, careless, or slipshod manner."

I now have my second key ! The FORD dealer got the second key made.
Great!

If you're happy with two keys, that's great. If you want additional keys for any reason with two already programmed keys you can program up to two more keys (four keys total) yourself without any special equipment; details here. You do need to look at the part number with the metal emergency keyfob removed, at the base of the remote, for the M3N part number to determine the frequency of your key.

They're $90 a pop on Northcoast keyless, versus $400 + dealer programming fees at a dealer... also, Northcoast tends to have 10% coupons floating around, including if you leave something in your cart for a couple of days...
