Mine isn’t supposed to be here until the beginning of April but I noticed on the Ford app that I could activate my vehicle. What the heck happens if I were to click it?
I clicked it and it said “feature unavailable”

One shouldn't feel bad about "bothering" dealer - dealer should be in constant contact from their end.
Sadly, most seem not to realize that. Esp my ordered dealer. Rhymes with "flanet pord" ...
Jackwagons...

I found out one of the reasons why my car got delivered is my sales guy, in part due to my calls, checked in with the distributor and was like where’s the car, what’s the problem. Because he did that they sent the car up. No telling how much longer it would’ve been otherwise.

Unfortunately, I think this whole delivery thing is going to get worse before it gets better. There will be more consolidation of freight to improve cost structures which will have a negative impact to time to delivery especially while there are commodity constraints.

Yes, but the issue isn't the time, per se - it's the utter lack of information flowing to the end purchaser.
I did some contract work for two well known brands that rely on "special orders" - and their absolute devotion to communicating information is the key to making that possible. FERD (and the other volume makes) will have to learn those lessons - one way or another.

Ok I need help please. I tried tracing the railcar and I think I did something wrong when I called Union Pacific. It was asking about equipment? Did I miss something in the prompts?

I figured it out I think but the system said that railcar is empty. So that’s…….good?

Mine didn’t say that. The last update for Union Pacific said loaded, a date and where (several days before I was able to call again as we were on a cruise). When I looked up the rail maps, I assumed that’s as far as UP could take it so I called CSX and they now have it. Maybe try them and see what they say.

Dealer sent me in transit status - shipped rail #.
I called and did the correct way (a number of times) and get voice saying "no information on that ....."
Been in shipped mode since 3/3. Delivery estimate is 4/3 - 4/9.

So now what should I do? Bug dealer again?

Did you try all of the different rails? Union Pacific, CSX and Norfolk Southern? UP appears to be the first pick up (at least it was for mine and according to the rail maps that I googled), and now it’s with CSX headed to Illinois (I live in Florida…I guess it has to go north to go south based on the maps).

I’m in Texas so it only goes on Union Pacific. I did find out from my dealer than the BS was at the railyard waiting to be put on a truck. (The railyard is about 1.5 hours from the dealer.)
