They only just recently updated the oil and air filter for the 2.0 like a month ago.

I’m assuming the 1.5L is probably the same issue.

But yes, 99.9% certain it’s the same filter. Just to verify, I’ll give you rough measurements, and you can check your air filter box.

~4.5 wide x 15.5 long

I’ve only got 10,000 miles on mine, and I like to keep maintenance parts on hand, so, let me tell you… ordering the wrong filters and being frustrated when they showed up wrong. lol

I’ve got four of these things on hand now. 🤣

I just sent you the exact part you need.
So I went to Napa finally to get this engine air filter, I didn't mention the part number you gave me but that is the one he ended up giving me anyway. I went to put it in and it is about an inch to long so it wont fit. Why these parts stores cant seem to have the right parts for this model makes no sense to me. Napa, Lordco, Canadian tire. I clouldnt even get the right oil filter anymore because Fram filed for bankruptcy so there are supply chain issues lol. The only other oil filter that showed up on the system as being able to fit this model was a Castrol filter and even that didnt fit, it had the wrong thread pattern and it was to big. I'm going to try the dealership and see if there system is screwed up as well.

Good luck with that! Twice I purchased the rear wiper refill for my wife's Edge, and both were wrong. The second time, I had the parts manager come out and try to put it on, and he was dumbfounded. He did find it the proper fit but it took him 10 minutes.

I put in a K&N filter and never looked back. They also show a rectangle on thr web, you could phone them and get answers on the square design.
Do you happen to have a K&N part number for the filter you installed ?
thank you in advance !

Why, yes I do. I keep the box for when the K&N needs to be cleaned. There is a 24 hr dry time, so I refit the OEM filter so I can drive. Looks like 33-3131 (PO11424623)

If you go to the Ford parts site, you can enter a VIN and get a list of parts that fit. In this case, I didn't enter a VIN, just "2025" and "Bronco Sport". This is the air filter Ford showed me. You can probably use that part number on an interchange site.

Is that a dry filter or do you oil it?

It is cotton with oil. After washing it needs to dry for 24 hrs and then re-oiled.
Ok thanks, I was sort of looking at these types of filters but the oiling sounds like a pain. I had been looking at other high flow dry filters but Im not sure there would be enough of a performance gain to off set the hassle of cleaning them.

It is way easier than you would think. Hell, I can do it! The re-oil kit contains a canister of cleaner, and a canister of oil(think WD-40, with less pressure). You spray cleaner on both sides, wait 10 minutes and rinse. The next day apply the oil. A kit usually lasts 4 treatments.

Have you noticed any difference in performance?

Like I had said earlier, it was installed in the first week we owned the BS. It does rev freer and seemed to shift smoother. It was a definite improvement in my MINI, and other cars I have used it in.
