I can't wait (really, I could...)

Apparently it kicks in at around 12 to 14K I've heard (no pun intended).

I’m at 14K and the only time I have any brake noise is when the brakes are wet OR haven’t been driven in a while but nothing consistently…

Almost 21k for me and no (never had it) brake noise when backing. Cheers!

I have heard it when I'm on a trip to colder places. First reverse of the day in cold weather and it HOWLS. Fortunately, the atmospheric conditions where I currently live are not conducive to making the howl.

On the unfortunate side, when I went to the dealer to try to get the TSB done for it, they first argued with me that it was necessary. Then they said it would take 5-10 business days to complete. Casa Ford, 0/10 wouldn't recommend!!!

There’s a stop order on the most recent TSB, so they can’t even do it if they were willing. A new fix is supposed to be issued in the fall (which will come too late for me since I’ll likely pass 36,000 miles and be out of warranty by then).

My howl has gotten worse and now happens a lot more often when the car sits for a while. Sigh.

Mine has done it since new - still does it at over 30K. Whenever the brakes are cold.
Ceramics will be coming soon - but mainly to fix the massive front brake dust issue - I have to clean my front wheels every other week. Hope they help the rear moaning.

I believe if you take your car in for service related to this issue prior to your warranty expiry you will have established the problem existed before your warranty expired. That should obligate Ford to make the appropriate repairs under a warranty claim.

I used to be in the same boat. Only when it rained or was really foggy. Now it's almost every morning even if it hasn't rained or anything.
