  1. Battery just died - no warnings or any signs

I believe the recall is because that light didn't come on when it was supposed to. Not much use in a warning system if it doesn't actually give you a warning.
  2. 2025 Bronco Sport Order Guide & Price List (MSRP & Invoice)

That Sasquatch package is very tempting! Too bad they got rid of the overhead sunglasses holder (it's listed as deleted, but not sure if it's replaced by anything). And not having buttons for the climate control with the Sync4 is discouraging. Will definitely have to see one in person before...
  3. Screwed by Discount tire and now on the hunt for some All Terrians

My rear toe was out of alignment from the factory- that would definitely contribute to tread wear issues. I rotate every 5,000 miles and can definitely tell the difference between the front and rear tires when I rotate. Although I'm getting even wear on the tire itself (they all stand up...
  4. 2024 BS Outer Banks Auto Dimming Mirror Seems Dark

My 2022 is a bit too light at times. Perhaps they attempted to fix the issue and overcompensated?
  5. Fuel warning

I've made this drive and several like it before. I've never had it get to 0 miles to go without the 50 mile warning, but I have had drastically lower fuel mileage above 75 mph when there's a head wind. I've been on 3/8 tank before when it gave me the 50 mile left warning! Maybe you just ran...
  6. Don't get an off-road ticket...

At the end of the day, the Subaru Crosstrek is advertised as an AWD vehicle. The Bronco Sport is advertised by Ford, and all of the literature about the vehicle from the manufacturer states that it is a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Unless the NPS/BLM/etc want to further modify their own definitions...
  7. Don't get an off-road ticket...

Guess it depends on how you read it, I meant to leave the area (i.e. go home) with more trash that you personally generated! I normally pack a trash bag and pick up any trash I find and get it to a dumpster at the end of the trip. But I can definitely see how one might read that the opposite way!
  8. Beginner’s Guide to Light Off-roading?

THIS!!! Get an OnX, AllTrails, or something subscription, find the easy trails close to you, then get out and learn your vehicle! Learn where your tire lines are, what it looks and feels like when you're off-camber. If you've never camped before and want to , first go try a night camping in...
  9. 30 YEARS AGO, WE'VE COME A LONG WAY

This almost made me miss my old T-Birds. Those things were tanks and probably saw a lot more "off-road" use than many Broncos! ?
  10. Don't get an off-road ticket...

Since this seems to keep popping up, I went to the Recreation.gov site to look at the posted off-road rules to obtain a permit for these trails. The verbiage on the site hasn't really changed, here it is below for those of you who've never obtained a backcountry wilderness permit: Now, you...
  11. Don't get an off-road ticket...

No worries, thankfully the trail is still a bit of an unknown. I definitely had a great trip, and hope to get back out there soon. Yeah, this definitely goes a long way. If you have a basic level of outdoor competency and act accordingly, the Rangers are there to help you have fun and make...
  12. Don't get an off-road ticket...

This is interesting. For what it's worth- the Rangers had no problem with my Badlands when I got the Wilderness Permit for the Elephant Hills Trail in the Needles district of the same park. Neither the Ranger at the desk nor the one who checked my permit at the campsite permit said anything...
  13. From Malwarebytes: "US senators ask FTC to investigate car makers’ privacy practices"

Okay, I had to look this thing up in the MX Manual. Ford labels it as a "In-Vehicle Temperature and Humidity Sensor." Though it does reeeeeeeeally look like a camera, that's not what it is and/or is used for in the vehicle. :frown: Opps! Sorry about that! While there ARE vehicle...
  14. From Malwarebytes: "US senators ask FTC to investigate car makers’ privacy practices"

Don't forget about that nice little camera in the cabin. While I don't think it's there for nefarious purposes (it's part of the anti-driver fatigue programing), it doesn't mean that the information can't be hacked or sold for a profit.
  15. Battery just died - no warnings or any signs

No problem! And yeah, it won't help an absolutely completely dead battery. But if you had attempted to charge it, maybe it would have worked enough to get you to the nearest part store (or dealer if using the warranty). With all the battery issues people are having, I'm probably going to get...
  16. Brake Fluid Flush

Those devices work wonders in making fluid replacement quick and easy! I used the one below on my T-Bird, and other than some user error on the first brake (you need to hold the rubber cap down on the nozzle while opening the brake otherwise some air will get into the line) it worked like a...
  17. Battery just died - no warnings or any signs

There's an active recall out now to address this very issue. You can get it done in 30-45 minutes with the Ford mobile service. There's been some anecdotal reports that people still have issues after the upgrade, but I'm curious if you have had that performed yet? Some background on why this...
  18. Brake Fluid Flush

I'm currently researching different scan tools to get to be able to do this procedure and a couple others on this and my other Ford. Definitely will need to be doing the brake fluid change on my Bronco in the next 6 months or so. Has anyone bought one and successfully used it? What brand did...
  19. First mods: window tinting/PPF/ceramic OR lift + tires

Good luck with your coating. I got the 99.9% UV blocking tint on my vehicle from tint world when I first got it and it is absolutely amazing the difference it has made in the summer! The vehicle isn't nearly as hot as it used to be, and I have to use the A/C far less on long trips as the cabin...
  20. Badlands driver screen water spots

Agree with Mike, this might be something you have to *shudder* take it to the dealer for. I've not seen this at all in mine and it's been in some pretty heavy downpours as well as plenty of water-crossings up to the design limit. My guess is you have a bad seal that's either allowing humidity...
