My 2023 Badlands came with a (3) memory driver seat, I’ve set all (3) settings to different positions, the dash indicator icon always shows position (2).
When leaving the vehicle the seat moves back, Regardless of the previous setting, when returning for another trip, most of the time the seat will not move forward at all, if it does, will rarely returns to the previous set position, again, “sometimes it does”. Mostly, I have to press the desired position setting.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding the way the driver seat operate?

Well, as I said, I just purchased this Badlands and am learning the features. During state inspection, apparently 2 seatbelts were fastened in the back seat as part of the inspection, and that is the (2) I was seeing on the dash, I thought it was the power seat position selection. ?
With the vehicle running, I reached back and released the seatbelts. Impressive to see how I was informed on the dash the seatbelts were released. What a great child safety feature.
Anyway, the power seat issue is still a question.

Replying to provide a data point for you. 23 BL with 3 memory. We've had no issues whatsoever (at this point). Works as it should.

Mine works as I would expect, but I almost immediately went into the settings and turned off the feature where the seat moves back when I turn it off... and moves back to my last setting when I start the engine.

I know some people love that feature, but when I go camping I have too much stuff in the back seat floor and I don't need it crushed.

It is associated with the fob you have on you, so that's why it goes to the same spot.

If you turned off the setting to move back when you shut off, why would the seat need to move at all? I would think it would remain stationary.
I like the seat moving back because my bulky work boot otherwise hits the door.

It does remain stationary. But there are other people who use the vehicle, which is why the 3 presets are nice to have.

Wouldn’t that only be true if you set up the key fob?
Maybe that’s what I need to do.
I never set up any keyfob, and my memory seats work as expected.

It has amazed me that an auto manufacturer has to remind a driver that someone/something is in the back seat (seat belts are fastened). I guess parents with children forget they are back there?:frown:

I completely agree You know how little ones are, if they release the belt, or if a child seat accidentally comes undone, you immediately know.

Yea. Here in Florida, there are at least 3 events in the news where someone forgets they had a child in the back set, left them in a summer time hot car, and the child dies, or is severely stricken with heat stroke.

Yes, it has happened by both forgetful parents and neglectful/irresponsible parents.
There were several instances of a mother leaving her children in the car while she was in a casino or bar. The 2 instances that I found happened in PA, and FL casinos.

If you have children, but would still like to try your luck, you should stay home and try to find https://kaszinoworld.com/huf/ here are some good bonuses that might interest you. It is no less interesting than visiting the place yourself. The 2 instances that I found happened in PA, and FL casinos.
Unfortunately, casinos and bars seem to be places where this happens more frequently, likely due to distractions or poor judgment. Hopefully, continued education and stricter enforcement can help prevent such tragedies in the future.

you can turn that feature off if you want. mine works properly for the most part, but I am only using 1 position and 1 key, but I still get every now and then where it doesn't go all the way to the position or move at all. I am going to mention it at my next service and see what they have to say about it. For now I am going to try set all the 3 memories at the same position and see if that changes anything.
