Are you sure you have to have the factory wiring to get the sway control? On my BSOB I do not have the factory towing and have yet to install any aftermarket hitch or wiring, but the sway control setting is available to me on my infotainment screen and I can turn it on and off. I thought the sway control didnt have anything to do with the wiring and it was basically all sensors that are already on the vehicle??? I could be wrong.

With the factory installed system sway control is automatically enabled when a trailer is connected. I believe that's the difference. The system will also notify you if there are trailer lights burnt, also it will automatically disable blis. I do believe that is only the factory installed system. The dealership installed option does not do this and neither do aftermarket solutions. Im looking into what would need to be done or if its possible to add that functionality but i haven't found anything yet. It may not be worth it.
