Absolutely wrong. I think im out of this forum if this is the assinine content that is going to be posted here. Go hang out on the Bronco Nation forum where they bash the Sport every day and its encouraged by the mod team.
I had no intentions of offending or coming off rude. My apologies. For what it’s worth I love my sport and have full intentions of owning it til the day it dies and beyond. Although I think your response is a bit dramatic, I do understand and will rethink my comments on here in the future.

I also have a Badlands and interested in a full size Bronco, my dealer keeps asking to buy my Badlands. Next time I go in for service maybe I'll ask what they can do, interest rates are currently too high now, I have .9% on the Badlands and almost paid off.

I'd like this.

BTDT. We have two Broncos now, 2dr BL and 4dr Wildtrak.

The Sport I had was 21 BL+BL. The Sport was far and away a better commuter and road tripper.

Broncos are awesome in a totally different way that is not related to comfort and convenience of every day life. However as an old timer I've driven rougher riding trucks with way worse handling so it's all good.
See, that's the key right there-- different markets are targeted by the two vehicles.

The full size is squarely aimed at Wrangler buyers, and to a lesser extent other body on frame truck buyers in overlanding/adventure sphere. (Taco, GM twins). It doesn't get good mileage, its a bit much to daily (although better than a SFA Wrangler), isn't the most practical but that isn't the goal.

The Sport OTOH is aimed at the "lifestyle" SUV/CUV crowd. It targets buyers of Cherokees, Foresters, Outbacks, RAV4s, etc. These are all vehicles that are designed primarily for the street but still can do some off roading and more than most people would realize... but not as much as the Wrangler, Bronco, or other proper 4x4 trucks/SUVs. Its owners are into the outdoors but aren't sending it at King of the Hammers. It is a FWD based, unibody CUV.

They are however camping, transporting kayaks/SUPs, driving down the beach, etc. It gets decent gas mileage, has a good mix of features but at the end of the day its Ford's answer to the Forester...

It isn't an indictment of the Sport, it's a recognition of where it lands in the marketplace. Judging by the sales, it is doing its job.

FWIW: We extensively tested Foresters, Outbacks, Cherokees, and RAV4s among others before we settled on the the Bronco Sport.

Nice post. I like my Bronco Sport. I've minimally upgraded it with tires, lift and other things like lettering and badges. I didn't do diligence in buying mine. I was only looking at the gas mileage. I traded a 2020 Ranger that was customized from the dealer. It was so bad ass I had to go through withdrawal for awhile. However, the Ranger got 18 mpg and the Sport gets 28 to 30. As for your comparison, I think you are spot on. I believe the Sport might be more geared towards my wife's Crosstek. It has great clearance and get 35/37 mpg. Pretty much the same HP. Also, I almost broke even with what they gave me for the Ranger. I have thought of getting a base Bronco and upgrading it myself but my wife already looks at me kind of funny. You know, like when buy another guitar.(I have many). And the big difference is that she believes me, I think, when I tell her that I paid a lot less than I actually did for the guitars. LOL. But I could not pull that off with a Bronco, especially at the gas pump. Anyways, I guess I am mostly happy with the Sport.

Funny you mention the CrossTrek- that is what our Sport is replacing. We have a 2013 bought new with almost 200K miles on it. Being as I needed my left knee scoped out and wouldn't be able to drive my three pedal BMW for a bit, and the Subie is bound to blow up eventually it was better to have the vehicle waiting in the wings for that eventuality.

Great choice. The Subarus are great vehicles. We've had about 10 of them over the years. That's including 5 WRX's and an STI. The Subaru's do have a long mileage lifetime but at 200 k, it is probably a good time to trade. The comparisons between are interesting... Same hp, same size in the garage.

I never lie to the House Appropriations Committee Chairperson. That's grounds for her to splurge, and believe me, she doesn't spend money on the right things...at all.

People will tell me to shut up and I’m wrong but I’m convinced anyone who has a sport secretly wants a full size. As a daily driver I don’t mind the sport but god I envy the people I pass driving the full size haha. She’s a beaut!! Great price to considering I paid 40k for my 22 big bend sport after warranty and 60k/100k maintenance package and taxes/fees One day I’ll hand the sport off to my wife and get a full size
I like the idea of a full-size Bronco but have zero use for one, plus they are far too big. I'm happy to see the OP is actually taking his off-road and suing it. Most big Broncos are just lifestyle vehicles kinda like Wrangler owners with the angry grill installed.

Not going to tell you to shut up or try to change your mind. I can absolutely promise you I do not want or envy a full size Bronco. I can buy any vehicle I want, not bragging just saying I can. The options and features I got on my BS would have been much more expensive on the Bronco and since I do not take my BS off road there was no reason to spend the money for a more hard core off road vehicle. I could have, just didn't want to. There is a video on Youtube that finally convinced me to get a BS. I forget the exact title but something about making a $5000 mistake by buying a full size bronco. And if you think the BS can't go off road, you should watch some of the Off-Rodeo videos. Just my opinion.

I think that’s true lol! I know I do really bad, but it comes down to the finances and rn I cannot afford it. It’s sad because there’s an OBX 4 door Bronco on my dealer’s lot in the same color as mine and has all the stuff mine has plus whatever comes with the big Bronco along with both a soft top and a hard top. I got to test drive it and I loved it more than my BS, but at $60k, I can’t afford that. I’ve got other bills to worry about, especially after my mom passed away last month from ALS.

If I ever win the lottery, I’m gonna go for one, but that’ll never happen lol.

This is the Bronco I was looking at (my BS is right next to it lol):

In the last week or two, I'm seeing many full size Bronco. Mostly 4 door but did see my second two door today. A white Badlands which looked great.

I really like the full size. I keep discounting it as I think a non-fixed roof vehicle would be loud/noisy & ultimately tiring over the length of drives I’d like to be doing. I always said though I’d have one about the time of the first refresh in retirement when I can run it around the desert SW with the top off. But. My dealer has a 23 used OBX on the lot I may need to take a test drive in just to prove to myself that It’s not quite the daily I’d want. It’s a soft top so I’d kinda be sandbagging it a little bit since that definitely won’t be a quiet & serene ride.
