Changing rear Ford emblem to black Ford emblem

This is the way. I had the vinyl overlays on for years and finally decided to use plastidip instead. So much better looking now IMO.

Yea it's supposed to be a little smoother and richer color I think. Honestly if you warm up the plastidip and shake it like crazy, apply thin coats, and apply it evenly I think it looks great for what it is. At the end of the day they are both rubber coatings. I may buy a can to see how it looks though.

I didn't go full black. I opted for smoked chrome trim with a black center. It looks like I have some wax/sealant residue in the channel in the top area I'll remove..

Newbie here to the Bronco world but just bought my wife a BSBS and I have to change these emblems. I cant seem to find a blacked out Ford emblem for the lift gate anywhere. Any one have any suggestions?

Appreciate that, I have no luck on either unfortunately. Ideally I find the OEM black one but that appears to be out of stock everywhere.

How much you willing to spend? I’ve repainted quite a few, but the cost of the emblem, plus the paint and clear coat adds up quickly.

I honestly have no idea, I know Emblemcity does them but like $199 is a little crazy. I saw one of these in stock a week ago on levitown ford but I was not ready that day unfortunately.
